On a serious note and with respect CVD, it’s almost October and people are still firing shots at each for going or not going. Was I naive for thinking people on both sides of the fence would be over it by now? I hate this topic, I honestly do. Bolton away there was this guy shouting as loud as possible that he refuses to go to Birmingham, looking around to make sure people heard him. Personally think he was spoiling for a ruckus. Frankly quite embarrassed to be on the same side of the fence as someone like that. But on here if it’s brought up and hits a nerve (hands up to that) then I feel almost obliged to react.

I honestly believe that in general peoples decisions have been respected. There are idiots on both sides of the argument like the one you describe but I think, and hopefully I'm right, they are in a minority.
Perhaps the fact that many going to SA never went to Sixfields gives them a bit of empathy with peoples decision not to go.

Interesting seeing comments that some fans will only do away games on principle the they cannot 'endorse' the move to brum.

It's ironic, as by only going to away games, they are in fact 'endorsing' the move to brum. With Wasps not willing to do a deal, and then demanding for something that completely unrealistic or acceptable, meant we had nowhere to play our games and fulfill our fixtures. We can't withdraw the complaint (that was submitted in Feb) with the European Commission even if we wanted to. It's been lodged, and they have to explore I'd it merits a full investigation or not. In the circumstances and regardless of blame, the only option for us to fulfill our fixtures and remain in the football league was to agree a temporary groundshare, otherwise we'd have been expunged from the league and cease to have a club.

Regardless of blame, fault, etc, this situation is different to Sixfields, this time we have been left with no choice.

So the only reason you have away games to go to, is because we're at Brum. Therefore by attending away games, whilst we are in this temporary groundshare, you are "endorsing" the move to brum. No brum, no team, no away games.

NB I don't believe anyone "endorses" the move, they go because it's that or could have been extinct like "Bury" and they just want to go and support their team both in spirit and financially.

And to add, that I know that people don't go for different reasons, so this post is only really about those who dont go as they don't want to 'endorse' it.

I understand the whole politics and situation but I have made my mind up and it breaks my heart but I can’t control the off field situation.

For the record I respect people who go and make the extra travel and cost. It really is a personal moral decision for everyone.

I went to the Gillingham game at St Andrews but it felt strange, the lads i normally go with have made their minds up to only do away games and i think I'm leaning that way now. Doing Rotherham next week but am missing watching them play in Coventry

How temporary ?. 3 years ends and we either extend or move somewhere else. EFL purely want fixtures to be fulfilled, that’s their red line. As every match is played elsewhere, we lose fans for good. There are very few new fans coming fwd, we can’t sustain what we will go through in the coming years.

Our best route home is if wasps die due to people not following them as they are away from home, just like we are !

It isn't just a 'line', it is fact. It is different, and this is reflected in the number of people travelling. When Rotherham played in Sheffield, B Rovers in Bath, Brighton in Gillingham and ourselves in N'ton, the circumstances were all different and people either chose to follow or they didn't based on those circumstances. In the end, they all went home, as will we, sooner than most people think. No point going round on circles over it. Go or don't go, and most of us are perfectly comfortable with the choices people have made.

Not been to St Andrews yet, first game is likely to be the midweek game against Fleetwood.

We are here because Wasps have kicked us out, simple as.

I understand both points of view, we should be in playing in Coventry as we are Coventry City FC.

What I don't get is away games only. Why? Why give money to our competitors when the club (not SISU) need it the most?

The owners have moved the Club out of the City for a second time. That is the FACT why most fans are not going. But as you say each to their own.

A lot of the people of Facebook who are vocal on NOPM etc didn’t even go to the Ricoh nevermind attending SA. For me I don’t mind going, I would prefer the Ricoh as we need to come home but it shouldn’t deter from watching some good football on a decent pitch. My fear is that we would move back in January on a shite pitch and potentially blow our promotion chances. Realistically we are here for the season so let’s make it count

Going off your name you're from tile Hill like me, and it takes an extra 7 minutes by car than it does to the ricoh.
You're putting money into the club and for the sake of 7 minutes, you watch good football by a young team that's trying to do their best for the club and its supporters, not to mention the manager who deserves the support

I don't buy the reason for fans not going either.
Do supporters that stay away think it hurts them MORE Than somebody like me or my old man who travel thousands of miles every year home or away to watch the club?
The answer is no, an extra 7 minutes in travel time for me is a no brainer, I get to watch the club I love and I'm supporting them financially.

My old neighbours all had season tickets for ccfc (4 of them). We moved to Northampton and they haven’t gone since, lost interest and started following cov blaze home and away.

Maybe your right and I’m the only one who knows people that no longer go due to them losing interest when we moved last time.

Not looked at all. Do our attendances hold up after we moved back last time ?

So helping our opposition with money instead of your own club. City get a cut of the away gate also so you still give mpney to the club. Sorry but away only fans gave no valid argument for me. Either go to home and away or none at all

I know plenty who go to home games and don’t really bother with away games, and have always done that. That’s not a valid argument either.
