I've still got my old palm pilot somewhere. Great device in its day

Had tomtom satnav on it too, and a separate GPS device plugged into it, and away you went.....

Except, it used to take 5 mins before i could go on a trip, waiting for it to receive gps signals. :emoji_smile:

Don't actually use a mobile phone except for emergencies so in car glove box switched off most of the time. Costs me around £5 per year on payasyougo. It's a common assumption that everyone has one and people are confused if you can't provide a mobile number.

I do like the thought of not needing to carry one.

Then on the other hand I worry about something happening if I don't have one and it being some sort of emergency.

Yes that is true, I do remember 2 situations pre-mobile phones that I came across which would have been helped so maybe I should carry it around a bit more. Still don't have to switch it on unless needed.
