Have a read of my new blog - The Robins Revolution - The Tales of Coventry City in League One - Chapter 2. Then vote on where you think we will finish this season:thinking about: Any feedback is much appreciated

I think Notts County is a really important, if we win it is 3 wins in 5 an 11 points. I can see us really building up some momentum if we beat Notts County and then probably beating Brentford and Orient just by riding the momentum, if we lose or draw then I can see that knocking us back as it will then only be 1 win in 4 and we will have to build up momentum again

I think the Notts County game could be the difference between making a great start under Robins to a decent start

it's a good read it's interesting hearing about the £100 fine if the person their marking scored from a set piece now is that discipline or what. who's getting charged for Swindon's first goal then?

No hesitation - top 6 minimum.

I don't know how you can say top 6 minimum Paxman. We score very few goals the one player who does score will probably depart in January and we rarely keep a clean sheet.

Top 2 is virtually impossible now and we will have to play championship winning form to make top 6.

To say we rarely keep a clean sheet is debatable if we are talking about Robins tenure considering we have kept three in seven so far under him, which isn't a bad record. Scoring is a concern however.

Taking the results as a whole this season you are right. Remove the results under Shaw and things look very different. Robins has only been with us a few weeks. We did well in our last game until we lost 2 of our better players. Even the Swindon fans admit we played well, being the best side they have played so far this season. They are one of the best sides as well.

Looking at things this way we should finish in the top 6

The only way I can see us making top 6 at the moment is if we can go the rest of the season injury free which is highly unlikely !!
Also how can some of you expect top six and also have a concern about where the goals are coming from
Mcgoldrick could be gone start of january !!
So for these reasons I predict top half but will fall just short of play offs.

As I've been saying I trust MR is working his magic over Cody who is already a proven goal scorer and his fitness and readyness will be needed. I also think we will be in the transfer pool during the next window.

Just think and always have thise league is poor. We have until now been very poor but doubt we will be anymore so yes top 6 at a canter please!

2 Sheffield Wednesday (P) 46 28 9 9 81 48 +33 93

3 Sheffield United 46 27 9 10 92 51 +41 90

4 Huddersfield Town (O) (P) 46 21 18 7 79 47 +32 81

5 Milton Keynes Dons 46 22 14 10 84 47 +37 80

6 Stevenage 46 18 19 9 69 44 +25 73

7 Notts County 46 21 10 15 75 63 +12 73

Nottts county finished on 73 points with 15 defeats last season.

However 10 defeats is a bit more of realistic target to get in the top six

Take mcsheffrey out as he is done for and tell me 6 squads who will not score more goals than us. Seriously look at the goal ratio of all these players and it's frightening.

Only 5 more defeats until Seasons End.

McGoldrick - 5 in 9 apps
Cody - 2 in 7 apps (inc the og he didn't score)
Baker - 1 in 11 (free kick)
Barton - 1 in 9
Fleck - 1 in 8 (pen)
Wood - 1 in 11
Elliot - 1 in 8

Yep. If we don't sack our manager definately possible.

This is becoming tiresome. Go on Andy tell the world how many games did you win in League one?

I voted top 6, but I think top 2 is possible, but Shaw's 4 games has damaged our chances.

If we are 6-8 pts off the top 2, blame Shaw!

Ok, he had 2 respectable draws, you should look towards Shaw, he's the clueless one, lost 4 winnable games

EDIT: 3 winnable games, typed 4 by accident

Our results with a proper manager are 2 wins 5 draws 1 defeat.
Without a manager 5 defeats.
3 of the draws are with MK Dons, Swindon and Sheff Utd.
The first set of draws were when the team were finding their feet.

Then a load of turbulence.

MR has now brought stability after the first defeat.

We have had two wins two draws this is more realistic assessment of our form after the disruption.

We will get stronger and stronger.

Top 2 is possible? Are you insane? 2nd finished on 93 points last sason and 92 the season before. You think we will pick up 81/82 points in the last 34 games???

Yes he is insane. Don is insane - (though I suspect that there is some pathetic agenda with him to say if we hadn't sacked Thorn we would have been promoted). I think most teams that get into the play offs average 2.5 goals a game - we average 1. We have 2 wins (both Don under this manager). We have only kept two clean sheets out of 12 (again Don under this manager).

Yes we will improve as we now have the first manager since Boothroyd. However the damage for this season is done. We will finish at best 12th. Anything better will be a major achievement by Robins. A lot of this squad is not even League One standard.

On "paper" or in reality?

What is the transfer value of our squad would you say?

dongonzalos

Reality, on paper any form really. It is quite clear that there are not six squads in this division stronger than ours.

Yes the 5 defeats are a handicap, but we can do it.
