Always had a bit of time for OUFC after this game, they were a gracious bunch after the game and in our meetings since always found them to be decent and relatively harmless

Everyone takes the piss out of that trophy, but I'm fairly sure we weren't the first team to use it as springboard to further, relative, success.

Fairly sure Southampton and Sunderland both won it and ended up in the top flight within a few years.
