And what a journey it has been.....its aged me but it will mean I savour every single moment of these good times. Glory hunters will never have this feeling that many of us have....its impossible to capture that feeling unless you have supported a club that had completely lost its way but to then turn it around to what we are currently witnessing. And I don't think I would change a thing, because that would change what we now have.

Myself and my best mate have took our sons on this journey, all the way down the leagues and then 9 years ago until today, the march back up. In those dark days of League 2, where we may have even lost our league status, I would never have imagined the journey we have been on and the team we have become. It hurt so bad against Luton losing the way we did, but in a way I'm glad we didn't go up then, it was too early for us. Now with Doug and Frank at the helm, to me it is the perfect and fitting time to rise back to where we belong. PUSB

There was a time when I thought I'd never see us in the top flight again.
But about 5 or 6 years after Robins return, in around 21/22, I knew I would. What a job he did rebuilding our club.

I must admit I thought we'd eventually go up via the play offs.

To do it through the autos, in all liklihood winning the league, besting the play off clubs, without busting the bank, is an absolutely incredible achievement by Lampard, doubt we'll see anything like it again for a long time.

I didn't go, my head had gone, I'd thrown the towel in, I'd submitted to the shitheads that dragged our once proud football club into almost oblivion.

And for that I'm truly sorry to my kids and grandchildren I knew it hurt that I wouldn't go with them and eternally grateful to all of yous that stood and sat at Wembley that day and watched us start the long journey back.

I was in two minds, but like many thought it would be the only chance we would get to see us at Wembley in a long time so thought we might as well enjoy it and I am so glad I made the right decision

Little did we know it would be the day the slate would be wiped clean and people got the buzz back - Do not let it be understated how much that day was the tonic for all that has followed

Whilst Slade is probably the worst manager we have had tactically and of course the right decision was made to move him on, he is not my least favourite for at least getting us there in the first place, that is how important I think that day was for our fortunes

You can fluke your way to a cup win, you can’t fluke your way to the league trophy in a 46 game season. Some will say ‘shit league this year’ but fuck em, it’s only the superflu that put the title in doubt.

If you’d said to any of us back then that in under a decade we’d be back in the championship, rid ourselves of SISU; the council and Wasps, have ownership of the arena, Frank Lampard as manager and sitting top of the league with 7 games to go with an 11 point gap of a parachute payment team in 3rd… I’d have thought you were a fucking lunatic!

But here we are, the journey back started there, as difficult as it was for any of us to see back then!

Every time I hear that, I think "so your team must be fucking garbage then?"
Funny thing is, it's mostly said by fans of teams that should be a lot higher than they are, as if it's some explanation to why they're so bad.

Incredible day right in the middle of the worst period in the club's history; I'll never forget it. Thomas' goal is in my all-time top 5, it felt like we were shedding all the anger and fury of the previous 16 years in the celebrations.

This was the day I missed as I was having treatment for Leukaemia in readiness for my bone marrow transplant. My son, wife and late Dad went though and they had a great day. I watched it on tele.

I was really desperate for my lad to to - he was 11 at the time - as I thought he wouldn't get much chance to go to Wembley. How wrong I was! I'd been twice, Cup Final and Charity Shield. More times now, of course.

Really was the catalyst for what was to come.

Everyone takes the piss out of that trophy, but I'm fairly sure we weren't the first team to use it as springboard to further, relative, success.

Fairly sure Southampton and Sunderland both won it and ended up in the top flight within a few years.

My little boy can hardly remember his trips to Wembley but I'm trying to get through to him that it's not always as good as he has had it. All he has seen is improvement every season in the league other than when we came as close as you can get to the biggest and best comebacks and making the FA cup final.

The icing on the cake for me? 9 years ago Leicester were the holders of the Prem title and made it through to the QF of the Champions league whilst we were struggling in League 2. Here we are now looking at winning the Championship and they look like going to League 1.

been Watching us since the 70s and I’ve not had this feeling about the club since the 87 season, you knew something special was happening, and it’s happening again, not embarrased to admit it but they’ll be a tear when it happens, don’t think theres another club that deserves it more,
