From the toll bar -Festival island. Big queues about 12pm today. Two incidents involving about 8 cars within the space of 800 yards. Speed limit is 50mph but everyone does at least 60. I hate speed camera's but....

Inside lane for A46 then about 100yds from exit also an exit for A46 but you might have to stop at r'bout. So middle lane for A45/A46 and outside lane for A45 only.On the subject of the crash

I tend to struggle there with being in the correct lane ,it involves a lot of observation and lane switching.
Just keep touching your break pedal. They normally panic when they see break lights on and then sit back. I also give the middle finger sometimes.50 feels too slow down there and when I do 50 (which is all the time honest ref) there is always someone right up my arse.
But it's 50 for a reason and people speeding REALLY piss me off, especially when I've got my son in the car.
I'd genuinely have speed cameras everywhere, people moan about them being a money maker etc, but don't speed. It's very simple. Can't wait for people to get done battering it up Ansty road and now I've moved Broad lane. It's a 30 down there but the average speed seems to be 45.
While I'm at it if you actually drive the ring road correctly and get in the right hand lane when it's not your exit there's always an Audi up your arse then as well. I hate driving.

I am not a slow driver. But there is a time and place for speed. Road conditions and locality the main ones.
What pisses me off the most is being stuck behind someone doing 40 in a 60. Then when you come to a village or other 30mph limit they continue at 40.

I'm 50 now. When I was a kid 50 was old. Still feel 21 in the head. Put the younger ones to shame sometimes. But some of the old joints are starting to get a bit painful at times. And both my knees click as I stand up.
Not sure if I would pass an MOT.
Always happy to see the kids leave home. And happy to invite them back when needed. Had one move back 3 weeks ago. The younger two are getting to know him better as they have never lived with him before. So that is a bonus.Exactly how it goes
I think it possibly coincided with my daughter and grandson moving out that shaped my view at fifty five .
Know the feeling.I will be 60 next month and like others the aches and pains appear more often and linger longer than they used to. I had a new right hip 4 years ago and that worked wonders. Life is good and I wouldn’t swap 60 to be 20 again. In my head I can still do all I used to but in reality I can’t quite do all. Spirit willing but flesh is weak.

Some people think we are mad. But I love having a lively household.I’m semi retired now....fully in a month. Like you an age range of kids...(youngest 15 and eldest 34) so youngest still with us but an age when we can still do a lot. It’s good regaining some freedom even tho wouldn’t be without them.

We have 8, 9, 16 and 26 at home. But when I retire we are handing house over to kids and travelling for as long as our health allows. We deserve a few years of doing what we want.

Says on the tin that it is 4%. But it is really 3.7%. Brewers have been allowed a tolerance on strength because of EU law. But these days the process is much more accurate.
Tax payable on beer goes up after 3.7%. So they pay less tax yet make you think you are drinking stronger beer. And because of the loophole it is all legal.
