And not one thread about the match that is 100 times more important and a game that could prove to be the most important game of the season.

No doubt 15 thousand plus fans will want to go to the Spurs match and we'll be lucky if we get 10 thousand there tomorrow night.

One game is a minor distraction, the other could define our season.

The game tomorrow should be more exciting for us all surely!

Yeah, nice to have an away day in London, but this game tomorrow could lead on to London on a much bigger stage.

Went to my daughter's drama yesterday and they were all creaming themselves over the Spurs game. Not a single mention of the Sheff Utd JPT match.

As I say, tomorrow is 100 times more important.

We had the same thing with the Chelsea cup game a few years back. That week we had the league game on the Tuesday that could have pushed us into the top 6 with a win and a few days later, the Chelsea game. Hardly anyone bothered with the league game and everyone turned up for Chelsea.

:(

And remember, the game tomorrow is only a fiver!

Bigger game in every sense.

Bet hardly anyone goes up though.

At only 5 pounds against probably the best team in the division it should surely be a must for all City supporters who are able to go.

Agree. We win and we have to be just about favourites for the competition along with Preston and Doncaster.

id say both are

the playoffs are still possibe but it is a long shot

the jpt is a much more winnable competition

we want a winning mentality,a cup would be huge.

i hope we win both!

I think we need 3 more threads to highlight this 'massive' game ;) .I've brought 6 tickets and getting another 4 this afternoon, so the 10 on the attendance tomorrow is me and my family, show your support, £5 is a bargain regardless of who we're playing or what tin pot trophy it is!! #pusb

No cup games are as important as league games, but I am looking forward to tomorrow.

No cup game is important really. Surely you can't blame people for getting chufties about going back to a premier league ground, it takes us back to when we supported a proper team in a proper league. For one day we are allowed to relive the fantastic days of being a mediocre/struggling top flight team. Right now I'd give anything to be part of that White Hart Lane do or die game again and be fighting for our premier league lives. JPT Seriously? Win it or not, you can stick your JPT where the sun don't shine thanks!

No cup game is important?

Let's just forget 87 then and ask all the players to give their medals back.

Greatest moment in most of those players' careers and one of the greatest days in living memory for many a City supporter.

Not important my arse!

Wasn't going to go to this one with replacement knee still playing up but you have inspired/shamed me Otis to get Cloughie to wheel me into the Legends Lounge and watch us progress to the next round.

Cheers

Apologies for not explaining myself properly. I should of added in my opinion and in our current position the league takes 100% priority. Especially over the feckin jpt!

Well, agree to a point and if we were Sheff Utd I would see this game as a hindrance, but for us with us languishing mid /bottom of the table this could be our one chance of doing something.

If we weren't 10 points adrift of 6th place and were say within 6 or 7 points, then I too would be seeing this as a hindrance, but this club needs success, any kind of success, tin pot cup or not. We need to feel better about ourselves as a club and what better way to do it now than in a cup such as this.

We beat Sheff Utd we will be one of the hot favourites to win the trophy and that can only be a good thing.

I know a fair few are saying it's a pointless, tin pot cup distraction, but believe me, if we were to get to Wembley you just watch the clamour for tickets!

Straight knock out I think.

Think it is two legs when it gets to the area finals.

I agree with Otis wholeheartedly, the feel good factor of success for a club that has had none for so long cannot be under estimated.

My company has taken advantage of the cheap boxes so if all else fails at least I can have a beer!

Good lad!

It is so true though that many of those who show no interest whatsoever now will be wanting to be at the front of the queue for any Wembley visit.

When you look at the good it did for Southampton to win it, you can't ignore the value of JPT for a team like ours. Fans of the Champ and Prem may not care, but if we get crowned champions of anything it will be more than I've ever seen as a City supporter. I was 3 in 87.
