By the end of January Dovin will be keeping clean sheets, Kitching will be smashing up centre forwards and commanding the back line, EMC will be terrorising full backs and Haji Wright will be smashing the back of the net off.

We've long been hoping for a proper keeper and centre half, both Dovin and Kitching have the potential to do really really well for us.

EMC and Wright returning from injury will be like having 2 new players, with them in the side we win 4-0 yesterday.

He's hoping for an entertaining 2nd half of the season.

Our cup runneth over.

But the. people behind me will be back to saying how lazy Wright is and how useless Simms is while giving Sakamoto, Torp and Sheaf free passes on every mistake.
This I don't get. I'm not having a go at you Hobo, it's just yours on this thread, but I don't get why it can never be both. We have these good players back AND give free passes to those you mention AND support Simms.

It’s Rudoni who has improved the most recently. Get him back in the 10 with Simms, Wright and EMC in front of him!

Some of his touches were top quality yesterday. Worked hard but we need to get him in the game more. Plenty more to come from him

Torp played like a proper midfielder yesterday, made some really good niggly little tackles.

He has always had potential. But still a glass half full player. He has not kicked on like I expected this season and has lived off the reputation of his first couple of appearances for the club. Let's be honest he has put in some really anonymous performances this season

Yep puts to bed the rumour he can’t play more than 60 minutes too when he played a full 120

Let's hope he is finally getting up to speed and he kicks on from here. Because he has always had positive attributes and some really nice touches (but equally weak points).

I tell you, I'm feeling weirdly optimistic after a home draw with a Sheffield Wednesday 11. Can only end in tears. 😂

Ideal formation and signings for me :
While Wright and EMC are out I'd go a 352

Dovin
Kitching Thomas *new signing)
Bidwell MVE (wing backs)
Sheaf Rudoni *new signing* (centre mid)
Sakamoto ( attacking mid/ second striker)
Ellis Simms (centre forward)

Line up with EmC and Wright back
Formation: 343

Dovin
*New signing* Bobby Thomas Kitching
(Wing bk) MVE *new signing* Sheaf &Bidwell
Sakamoto Wright Mason-Clarke

Gonna need to play a back 3 with our current defenders.

For me its got to be start in a 352 shift back into a 433 after Haji and Tats get subbed in as Saddle said Haji could be back for Saturday, if not then whenever Haji is back:

GK - Dovin
RCB - Lati
CB - Thomas
LCB - Kitching
RWB - van Ewijk
RCM - Torp
CM - Allen
LCM - Rudoni
LWB - Bidwell
ST - Simms
ST - Bassette

Then around 65/70 I’d chuck Haji and Tats on for Bassette and Lati to shift into the 433

Lati is leaving.
We need Eccles in there with Allen

Chuffed to bits when I opened this thread thinking 4 more signings were imminent 🙄

Why would Lampard let him go?

The club are quite clearly looking at recouping what it can from recent transfers that just haven't worked. Lati is certainly one of those. The fact we paid around £500k compensation for him and we're potentially getting around £2m in return is fantastic business to be honest.

I suspect behind the scenes the club are probably working at moving on several more.

I think Lati is a good player and very versatile. Although I think sometimes he has been chopped and changed too often and it has affected his form.

If he was sold I wouldn't cry if it brought in a profit. We need a couple out at a profit to bring four assute signings in.

The pot needs to be stirred. We are not far off but we need a freshen up.

Dead wood that needs to go, Collins, DaSilva and Tavares (Tavares needs football and he isn't going to get it here. He needs League One or League Two regular football like Jodi Jones did).

Think we will see an improvement this half of the season as Lampard gets to further know who he wants in his starting line up.

Wouldn't say no to 4 actual new signings though!

I can't see four this window to be honest.

Same. Not if we don't bring anyone in at least.
Lampard has already said multiple times he doesn't want to lose anyone from the team this window
