I would have settled for that before the start of the season! We were always going to have blip, and to a degree it may be a blessing that we aren't carrying the "unbeaten in the league" tag.

A bit bit of realism now. We can still have a better season than we have had for years, so let's enjoy it!

I think you're pretty much right there. We've also got some of what are supposed to be the more difficult games out the way. Looking forward to a good, positive and enjoyable performance on Monday and a result to match would be nice.

Well yes, but let's be hoping it is just a blip.

Just playing Devil's advocate here, but you hope it is a just a blip and not a sign that teams are working out now how to play against us, or that we are slightly lost without James Maddison.

We get back to winning ways against Southend, then yeah, great. Will be a fabulous start to the campaign. We fail to win though and continue to let in goals (now 4 let in, in 2 games), then that would be a bit of worry.

It's fine talking about a blip as long as it is just that. We won't know until the Southend game a week tomorrow.

We need a positive result against Southend on Monday that is all - draw or win. If we draw it will be ten points from five games....which is automatic promotion form
if sustained.

Personally think we should have enough about us to be beat Southend at home who squad wise and resources wise have to be looked at
one of the weaker teams in league 1.

Time will tell,,,,,will be a bit wierd next weekend with all other teams having played before us....could be a good or a bad thing!!

Agreed . it's just so frustrating. 3 wins , top of the league , playing lovely football , a big following. a local derby..then bump grrrrrrrr.

No team is ever going to win every game or even play well in every game. Three wins out of four is a fantastic start and after some of the games in pre-season came as a nice surprise.

We'll get back on track when we beat Southend. This season we need to do what we've never done at the Ricoh; be consistent and win games. Our home form has always let us down, hopefully this year will be different.

Well also the key is, if we have a good home record then the attendances should be that much higher as a result.

Pre Wigan some would of had us without points so far. Decent start and yesterday might be a bit of a grounding experience for some fans. Reality check, yes progress being made but it won't be all plain sailing.

Madison however was part of that free attacking threesome - hope Murphy can fill the gap - not seen the goals yet

A better than expected start to season, a disappointing result yesterday and a couple injuries. If we get back to winning ways v Southend then August will have been a good month for the sky blues. Of course we all enjoyed getting carried away after 3 wins and unbelievable football but hopefully we can all get back to being grounded. Amy top half finish this year will be progress. Anything better will be magic

11 League One clubs involved in league cup games this coming week. Could be that helps us somewhat, not being involved. Chance to regroup, lick our wounds, heal injuries and plan ahead to the league game next Monday.

In some ways it could be good us being out of the first cup competition of the season. Also, with our squad being quite thin on the ground, we do probably need as few a games as possible this season.

Without Maddison we are not the same team. If he is out, I see a slide coming like last season when Reda was out. I'm still not convinced about Burge and at this point I would still predict we'll finish nearer the bottom of the table than the top. Time will tell, it's very early days yet.

He has been a lynchpin in so much of our good play and his assist rate in goals we have scored is very high indeed.

Yes he has but Madders is v young and still developing. I don't think TM planned to use him for all/most games. We were going to play often without him. Unfortunately the injury has come when he was doing particularly well

Yes, I know, but by the same token, I don't think TM expected such a good start to the season. His thinking was that we would get stronger as the season wears on.

Vincelot has been great and so too Ricketts and Armstrong, sensational, but Maddison has been outstanding too it has to be said.

Is there any latest on injuries? Expected time to be out etc...?

Why did JOB go off? Did he pick up a knock?

I think we have to acknowledge that Saturday Mowbray was limited in what he could change when Maddison went off due to it being a match environment.

If it turns out he is going to be injured for a while I believe Mowbray will develop a style to play without him.

Hoping he isn't out for long but its not crisis mode if he is, it just means we will probably have to play a different way.

Well yep, that's surely what we will do. Maddison is quite a unique type of player to the squad we have, so we would have to alter our style and approach accordingly.

Yep which is why I wouldn't read too much into Saturday as of yet, its hard to change things too much in the middle of the match. Given time to prepare I think we will still do ok if we have to do without him for a run of games, I still think we're a better with him so its still a loss but I don't think there we will some sort of calamitous collapse without him.

Happening after only about 6 mins into the match was an added factor too. You are having to change things before barely getting started.

I'm glad we've lost one. As mental as that may sound, majority of fans expectations have gone wild with 3 wins out of 3, almost mine too. Can't blame anyone for that and us long suffering fans should milk it while the goings good because we know what its usually like. But that defeat brings us back down to earth. Mowbray hasnt got carried away as he is too long in the tooth to be. We are a good young and hungry team that will make mistakes and be naive at times but will learn. Cliche but its a 46 game season. During those pre season games, we would all take 3 wins and 1 defeat in first 4 especially with 2 of those fixtures being against ex Championship.

Its a marathon, not a sprint and we are on a gradual incline graph speaking. Stick with it. Even if Southend beat us Monday, I still think we will win more than we lose under TM over the season.

Obviously always want to win but I get your point. People were getting carried away after 3 wins, if we'd gone and beaten Walsall that would have only got worse. What we need to do now is bounce back and get another little run going.

If we group games in small groups of 4 then we're looking at needing 2 wins and a draw from every 4 games to be up there at the end of the season.
