Well the transfer window officially closes on the 1st February and still no players in. Do we expect to get any players or has any rumours been heard with truth behind it. Not like this ridiculous rumour about this arab family taking over...

I would love a goal scorer to partner Leon Clarke up front. Sadly I think we left it too little too late to get a good deal done!

FFS, we play 1 striker, why the fuck would he need a partner for a strictly lone striker!

Nothing personal but this is starting to take the piss, we're not gong to play 4-4-2 so people should get used to it, it's a shit formation anyway!

Beginning to think I was alone.

4-4-2 has had it's hey day, but it's slowly dying away, it has it's strengths, sure, but it is exploitable, best example for me, England @ major tournaments, until England scrap 4-4-2 we will remain a backward footballing nations (I wouldn't say we are 'Elite' anymore), I hope the facilities in Burton begin a turnaround, we need to play 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 or 4-4-1-1 (not too keen on that as much as the former 2).

Without sounding xenophobic, I think we need to do something with foreign players, last season, there were 63% foreign players (all major countries have lower than us and there's a correlation of success in major tournaments and foreigners in League) and that figure has no doubt gone up. I'm very frustrated to see Newcastle have no starting English players and have more French players than English. What I will say, however, English players are disgracefully over priced (... And overrated!) it's that out of hand here, we need a quota.

Then there's a chronic shortage of quality English managers or coaches, that, or, foreign owners look to sign exciting names, Allardici over Allardyce! (Allardyce said that himself).

British football is fucked at the moment.

Robins has publicly stated that he intends to bring in another striker. Let's remember we need backup and competition whichever formation he chooses to use.

I'm aware, but that doesn't mean we'll be signing a 'partner' for Clarke/Elliott.

Not saying 4-4-2 is the answer but does anybody else remember under AB we have one formation and tactic which worked well for half a season. But then when teams knew how we played they adjusted to it. If teams do that against us this season. Then we will need a 2nd formation so this may involve another striker so another striker coming in would be best.

SBTaylor, what aren't you getting about this? We need options, variety, the ability to change formation or personnel. Robins gets it and is looking. He will bring Cody back if he can't get one in or get Ball fit. If Clarke gets injured or suspended we are f++ked

I'd like us to sell bell to northampton so we can bring in Keanu Marsh Brown, cus he can bring in some much needed pace and agility to the right wing, he can also play right back. Madine would be a great singing and i'd also like to see a loanee centre-back seeing as malaga is here for no reason

We simply need someone on the bench then to rely on not just Steve Elliot really any goal scorer in league 1 would be good.
