25 Man Squad (not inc. U21s) (1 Viewer)

Can see Kasteneer, Thompson being bombed out.

Can we add players into the list in January? Not sure what we will do injured players like Jobello and Dacosta.

Do we actually have to register a squad? I thought that was only PL. Even so, I think all players under 21 are exempt from registration anyway so people like Giles, Drysdale, Eccles, etc. don’t need to be registered.

I imagine we’ve been trying to off load Kasta but I doubt anyone wants him or wants to pay his wages he’s on here

This. Don't have to formally 'register' U21s as part of the 25 man squad, you get them for free effectively.

I think as it stands we'd fine with the entire squad because of the ages, but I wasn't aware the Championship had to formally put in a squad.

Just looked it up and L1 and 2 only get a 22 man squad, with L2 being 20 next year! That's barely more than a matchday squad. I know players under 21 but it's still pretty restrictive.

I assume the ruling is 21 on the first day of the season, rather than when they turn 21. Also didn't realise that Giles and ostigard will count despite being under age due to be loans.

So going by age:

Dacosta (if injury is as bad as feared may well be first choice as he's going to take a long while to get fit but given how few we have at RB if he makes a miraculous recovery you'd want him available ASAP)

Jobello (again depending on fitness as he still seems a long way from being back)


EDIT: Due to new info it appears Thompson, Young and Williams are excluded so we've got a couple of spare places as it is without leaving anyone out.

Also dont get why they don’t remove the subs rule and have the whole squad on the bench

But teams like Chelsea would lose about a quarter capacity of their stadium!

Although it'd make our attendance figures a bit more respectable.
