Isn’t that rak sayki more or a right winger?

Depends which Rak Sakyi you’re on about

Difficult to say. Structurally, our defence has been good and we’ve barely conceded any shots. It’s just that three of our five goals conceded have been from silly individual mistakes that are (in theory) unlikely to continue at such a rate.

I’d say the bigger problem with us in the final third.
And yet we are top scorers?

But we cant defend a set piece.

You’d think Rak-Sakyi Snr would come straight in ahead of Saka surely? Or on current form perhaps EMC.

This transfer deadline day feels a bit madder than usual looking at all the moves in the Premier League and Championship so far.
Just needs a Peter Odemwingie rocking up and trying to get into Ryton

4 million for wolfy seems very reasonable no ?
Granted, age is an issue, and were not likely to make much of a profit on that....

But for a player that has been promoted from this league and has PL experience, its much preferable to £10m for Hughes who's been relegated with Wigan, played L1 with Wigan and almost been relegated with Hull. Both would be nice, but if we can only get 1, Wolf is my preference.

We're not always gonna be able to buy young, improve and make a profit. Sometimes, if you want promotion, you need tried and tested, not improvement players.

An older head, bit of maturity in the squad, good reader of the game, plenty of experience.

Think it was always going to be the case given how relatively quiet the last one was. PSR kept teams quiet last year and now they can splurge. (Unless you are Villa) Mind you the knock on from the Isak sale has kicked a lot of it off. Wissa, Guehi, Gomez etc

Is he right footed? If so, switch him over to the left and have him cut inside. Makes sense.

I think he’s left footed. Seems to score mostly with his left

As opposed to 21 yo Hughes. 26 isnt that young in footballing terms! Arsenal are turning out a 15yo off the bench this season ffs! 26 is fucking old mate!

No it isn't. The Yamals and Dowmans are a rarity. 26 is not old for a CB, Although I can see why you would think it is with the medias obsession. Give it 10 years and unless a signing is wearing nappies clubs wont sign them. (Granted that could be old players too)

I disagree. As a CB he could easily have another ten years at Championship level.
But were hopefully not going to be at Championship level. And if its championship teams we'll be farming him out to once we've done with him, exactly like i said, we wont make much profit on£4m. But sometimes you've got to think what is better? £100m for winning the play-offs? Or £5m + add ons profit on a CH?

Why’s his age, at 26, an issue?
For me that’s exactly what our defence needs. We go and get a 21 year old, it’s likely he’ll make the same mistakes our current defenders do.

Not every signing is about profit . Look at Brighton who signed Milner and Welbeck to add to their youthful squad , it's about balance and readiness to play regularly
