Bamford looks like he's fell out of love with football, just offered nothing the last year or so. If we got him fairly cheap I wouldn't complain could be useful if Lampard can get some fire in his belly again
He's very injury prone, aged 31 and on about £60 k a week at Leeds, no thanks

Would rather Bertaccini, let's hope it materialises
This is the risk - this Beetacinni, how will he adapt to championship ? Any better than Bta / simms/ wright? Huge risk, majority never seen him play (YouTube clips don’t count)

lesser risk is to get more out of what you have, especially when they have done and have previous.

just need to be careful with wanting the brand new shiny toy as cure all.

Don't buy Haji Wright, try and get the best from Tyler Walker.

May be wrong on this but I think the players generally coming from Belgium to the Championship have generally translated well.

Don't expect much now until at least two from MVE, Simms, Asante, Allen, Eccles, Binks, Bidwell, Collins are gone.

Not just because of fees needed for upgrades but because of the wage bill. Don't really want a bloated payroll.

to get a quick CB for the first XI, a CM to push Torp or Rudoni and an upgrade up front, expect we'll have to be patient.

I'd agree, would think we'll start to see a couple of outgoings next week.

I think if we could move Simms on we should. But as far as the CF role goes I think BTA got a bit of a bad press last year. Often out of position. When he did play central he looked dangerous.
To be honest apart from the odd good game I thought BTA didn't look very good wherever he played.
Although these two posts seem to contradict each other I agree with both.

Yes BTA looked dangerous at times. He can be unstoppable on the ball. It's his end product that let's him down most of the time. Sometimes he doesn't pass to an unmarked player. Sometimes he tries a pass when shooting would have been a better option. Sometimes he just runs like a headless chicken and he doesn't even know what he is trying to do himself.

There's a good player there somewhere. He causes panic when he drives forward with the ball. Maybe Lampard and his team can help him improve.

I think BTA's such a poor player - dopey,can't finish,headless chicken & just runs up blind alleys

The transfer business always gets done later than people seem to remember, but with only 2 weeks until the season starts, I suspect we will see a couple of outgoings in the next week or so at a minimum.

I would like to see a few new faces in myself, maybe a bit of a shake up in midfield, but really I think it is quite important we find someone in attack that has a better standard of pshyicality and finishing. As much as I really want to like BTA and Simms, they can ultimately be quite frustrating.

Lampard has been here for long enough now so it will be nice to see what he plans to do.

@Jimmy87 any news ? You’re very quiet this summer.
Nothing really, other than what i've posted previously. He's been pretty spot on so far with what he's told me. LB in, told me early on there was talks with 2 right sided players and a keeper, since then we've had KKH and now Rushworth. Waiting to see if anything materialises with the RW.
He'd told me they were concentrating on building on what they had, rather than a massive overhaul, seems to be that way at the moment. Last we spoke, he said they'd been trying to organise some outward loans, maybe we are waiting for things to fall into place there.
I'll see him next week but we may have done some more business by then.
Seems he was right when told there is money there and Lampard would be backed, we tried to sign the keeper on a permanent. Interested to see where that money may be repurposed.
Hopefully we see a couple more decent additions.

Hopefully as you say see if the RW comes in, sounds all positive tbh

Yeah, whoever their targets were, seems as though contact was made pretty early on in the window with them all. So i'm sure there will be lots happening behind the scenes. Can only help matters that Gyokeres deal is over the line now too.

Cheers for the update

any news on outgoings?
