Maybe the reason he hasn't been replaced is he has been good enough for us and the players that have been replaced were not.

A proper squad needs several things. One of the most important is squad players who spend most of the season keeping match fit as well as they can and be ready for action when called upon. Bang average? I put him just above average myself. Has the tools to change a game but doesn't use them enough, but he is dependable. We have other players to move on before Eccles, but if a good enough offer comes in we should listen.

Eccles was in team that got us to the play off final and the FA Cup semi where we were robbed. He played some of the most minutes in recent seasons every year.
Was brilliant at Sunderland when he came on as sub in the play off semi and was looking really good before he got injured. He put through that brilliant ball to Haji. Appears Haji's achilles problem may have been happening then, as I have never seen him look so slow.

I don't think it will happen but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.

The KKH deal is massive. Put Doyle in defence then we have the chance of top 2. Lampard would know the difference Doyle would make. He has already been backed by King also. Win win for King. Bring in the players that could have us playing near the top of the table knowing their values will go up with game time.

Would we have to wait for a Gyokeres sale.or was that 15m just float money to smooth out player purchase/sales? Since Lampard came in he has spent nearly 10m and not sold anyone yet.
