Eccles isn't going anywhere but can see BTA moving on.

Let's just be realistic and practical, not only do we need funds from a sale of Milan (we do if we want to keep investing in team) but there is no way we have him and KKH is same squad, neither are back ups!

So I fully expect to see Milan go for circa 12m upwards, which I am ok with.
Yes agreed want 15m if possible. 15m would get us KKH and maybe a cd like Doyle. Would then leave us just needing a new keeper, and a back up rb with every other position 1 in 1 out

Obviously reading far too much into things, but think it unwise the club put out photos of those who are very likely to leave. So those notably not in any official media so far:

Wilson, Allen, Bidwell, Kitching, Thomas, Simms, Sakamoto, Wright (though we know he's injured).

Think all players will be training as if they are going nowhere as they should be.

I mean they plastered Gus Hamer all over stuff in the summer before he was sold

It's not to say they aren't training as professionals. Was just saying around official social media choices of what / who is shared.

Though BSB has made a fair point below about Hamer being front and centre before moving on.

Wright would also be given extended leave anyway having played in June. Presumably Lati too

Didn’t a certain coach we all rated highly, (who by the way is now coaching at another championship club) say that Eccles was potentially one of the best midfielders in the championship.

He also (probably) led us to sign Palmer, Dasilva and Collins and none of them made a massive difference. I like Eccles, but he's not consistently shown he's a nailed-on starter for a top 6 side. He's not a kid now, either. I'm happy if he stays, I'd understand if he was sold.

In the last 3 years, at that age in central midfield (loosely) there's only Hamer, Glen Kamara, Lewis O'Brien and Gabriel Sara that have left for £5m or more.

There's some very good players signed for less than that as well.

I might be wrong, but just don't see that you could get £5m for Eccles in this market, I think £3m is more realistic.

Eccles has potential but he hasn’t played to it under Lampard. One of the few midfielders not to have taken a step up in level. I exclude Sheaf from that simply based on his fitness levels.

if you can get £5m for him youd ttake it

I agree with most points made so far.

I think there’s a difference between the value another championship team would be willing to pay and his value to us.

I believe another championship team would pay maybe £2m for him but I believe he is more valuable to us than that

Think some people on here are pretty uninspired in their thinking tbh, afraid to upgrade on the likes of Eccles and Allen. If we could get that much for Eccles i'd fancy us to go out and get better with it.
Tbf I get if an offer comes in you debate it as you do for all the squad but imagine more so it’s one for next season, while we focus on the defence?

shows how clueless some of you dumb fucks are the way you talk about Eccles like he's shit. He's a very capable championship midfielder who has been a huge part of our growth. Fucking clueless
Thats a errr very angry response to some mindless chatter about Josh Eccles. I don't think anyone has even said he's shit have they?

Why would we just focus on one part of the team?
I think it’s more I don’t want large changes of the playoff team. I think the midfield is one of the best in the division and while we have other areas where we’ll need to spend our budget, id rather we do so (defence, wing and striker, plus a goalie)

Bet you we bring in at least one CM.
