No thank you. Busted flush, not really what we need.Just Saints have also tweeted saying that Saints would be open to selling Adam Armstrong this summer, I'm too not keen on taking back ex players, but at the Championship he is too good and definitely worth bringing in if available.
Good signingDoyle going to brum is ridiculous, what a signing
not his job to score goalsGood signing
wouldn’t say ridiculous
1 goal contribution in 23 games
Since when were we a long ball team?Scored 24 goals in Southampton’s promotion season. Could work if we decide to stop crossing so much and pumping so many long balls.
I know we make a lot of crosses but we also score a lot from them, including both goals in the play off semis and the most headed goals in Europe. I think the quality of the crossing is pretty good and it's backed up by stats, e.g. second most big chances created in the Championship. In general, our deliveries from wide areas need to be so much better. Quite often the ball is floated across and the defenders or keeper can deal with it quite easily. We need more variety, whipped in balls, hard and low crosses etc. Height isn't needed for those kinds of balls in, it's about the movement and timing of runs.
Hes a holding midfielder lolGood signing
wouldn’t say ridiculous
1 goal contribution in 23 games
Armstrong good player but wouldn’t suit our lone striker role at all
What about themLille
They are still in the Europa League so I doubt it.
Out of contract as well. Bit of a no brainer really.Well Walker-Peters has played a lot of games in the Premier League, Milan hasn't. Perhaps they see it as a safer bet?. Although Tottenham are rumoured to be interested in Walker-Peters too. We will have to wait and see.
They don't. It's a French FA sanction not a UEFA one.Think they forfeit their place if they are relegated
He played loan striker when we were a team that Sat back and relied on hitting teams on the break with speedHe used to play lone striker for us. He usually plays as a lone striker doesn’t he? Also played RW for Southampton in the prem so provides cover or a starting position instead of Sakamoto.
Plus our wingers play high like Wright so he’d have the support like he did with Jacob Murphy etc

Can you expand or are we that bored we are making random places in France lolLille

Fair point but he did play in a Russell Martin system last time he was in the championship for a full season. He played loan striker when we were a team that Sat back and relied on hitting teams on the break with speed
In case you havnt noticed, we dont play like that anymore, we are a possession based team now.
Horses for courses, as they say.
David has left on a free transfer. Not sure what happened there but my mate messaged me to say Lille apparently looking at Haji Wright. Jonathan David leaving and they’ll have money to bring a few attackers in.
We play with wingers, so hes not going to be our no9 he could play off a no9 or as an attacking midfielder, but that would mean leaving Rudoni out. So that's unlikely to happen either.Fair point but he did play in a Russell Martin system last time he was in the championship for a full season.
Saw an explanation yesterday. Strasbourg take their place if they are relegetedThey don't. It's a French FA sanction not a UEFA one.
Isn't Strasbourg owned by the Chelsea lot ?Saw an explanation yesterday. Strasbourg take their place if they are relegeted
As they would be both in different competitions it won't matterIsn't Strasbourg owned by the Chelsea lot ?
Not arguing on if he’ll sign for us as there’s no rumours on it at all (like everything else to be fairWe play with wingers, so hes not going to be our no9 he could play off a no9 or as an attacking midfielder, but that would mean leaving Rudoni out. So that's unlikely to happen either.
And hes definitely not going to come here to be cover for Sakamoto.
In short, hes 100% not signing for us.
ffs, once againYes we have.
I'm sorry but I disagree. They would both suit a loan to someone who needs a striker if we can't sell them. That was one game, none of our strikers suit a loan striker role. When Simms and Assante played together, we won 9 out of 10 games
There's a journo on Twitter say they are looking at Giroud as well - no mention of Haji in his tweet. Not sure what happened there but my mate messaged me to say Lille apparently looking at Haji Wright. Jonathan David leaving and they’ll have money to bring a few attackers in.
Giroud !!! He's about 40 years old. There's a journo on Twitter say they are looking at Giroud as well - no mention of Haji in his tweet.

5 goals in 16 games in the MLS apparently. I bet the Lille fans are thrilled !Giroud !!! He's about 40 years old.
Disagree all you like, a fact.I'm sorry but I disagree. They would both suit a loan to someone who needs a striker if we can't sell them.
No more passengers. Ship them out.
We are talking about a nominal fee, likely far less than the cost of his wages if we then couldn't offload him. We wouldn't have triggered that extension unless we wanted him to stay and play. What nonsense.. If we can get a fee for him we should … we are running a business not a charity.
Didier Drogba.... FL's formations are based on his experience as a player, Chelsea, mainly 4-3-3I'm sorry but I disagree. They would both suit a loan to someone who needs a striker if we can't sell them.
