I think Lampard and Keane fell out. Highly doubt there is anything in these rumours. Besides both players would be on top division wages, miles above what we pay. Even if we did break the budgets this season I'd imagine there is far better value elsewhere, someone with sell on value for a start.

I think a fairer assessment is that he is unproven. We will probably discover his true level over the course of the coming season.

I disagree with him on most things but Rapha clearly isn’t at the level we need to get to the level we want, need to be signing proven players

I like the bs rumours, they instigate discussion. I posted a while back that someone down the pub had mentioned (in all seriousness) that Diego Costa was approached on a short term deal. Complete bollocks but I live for that kind of shite at this time of year

Sometimes a player takes time to settle, the lad is young and has moved half way round the world, write him off at your peril.

I can’t see us going into next season with just Rapha as backup for the wings guys. He’s been playing U21 consistently for a while clearly fitness isn’t an issue.
