Squad currently

LB - Dasilva | Bidwell

To me the players that should leave:
- Brad Collins (I’d drive him anywhere)
- Luis Binks Wont get the gametime)
- Jay Dasilva Been really good recently however LB needs a revamp)
- Jake Bidwell
- Ben Sheaf (Transfer funds)

- Bassette (loan - L1)

Sign:

- RB
- RCB
- LCB
- LB x2
- CDM
- RW
- ST

GK - Yvon Mvogo
RB - Bryan Reynolds
RCB - Harry Darling
LCB - Cameron Burgess

Leaves a squad of:

I've heard we are close with a Striker too but not sure if Jimmy or Saddle have heard anything
If true that must mean one striker is on the way out. 🤔

Be great to get a few deals done early especially in the areas we know we need to improve. If a LB and a striker are deals in the pipeline then be a good start to the summer.

Be interesting to see what decisions FL makes on Andrews, Obikwu, Dausch, Moore, Rod and Bassette.

Nope nothing. Just that its a Striker, rather than a forward.
Wouldn't be at all surprised if Simms is testing their patience right now, there is a player there and I like the guy but he hasn't been up to it in recent weeks or indeed recent months. I would guess anything re Wright may well be more agent driven given he has a home World Cup in 12 months.

I wouldn't mind Campbell from Sheff Utd if they go up, I don't think he will play much in PL, as he would give us a bit of aggression which our current strikers lack.
I also want us to get a big, physical midfielder who can run with the ball, I watched Onana for Villa yesterday & he is exactly the type I'd like (although not him as we can't afford him)

Abou Adams from Derby if we want a cheaper midfield workhorse

Theres been a shift in recent seasons regarding youngsters at the club. Years ago, youngsters would get a chance and a route to the 1st team but after 7 years of success (compared to 50 years before) DK wants instant success and I don’t think he or the staff see that with youngsters unless it’s clear they are wonder kids. Just my view

Possibly but I’m not convinced he’s got much of a future with us, he’s going on 22, it’s not like he’s a youngster.
Me neither to be honest, but if he goes out to League 1 and does well there’s potential for us to get a fee. Problem is he’s an unknown quality, we can’t even say he’s shit as we’ve hardly seen him play

Raphael also needs his contract terminated.
Why so dramatic? he's on peanuts and had a bad injury. Also had to upsticks across the world to a league miles above the level he's played before.

People at the club rate his ability but have mentioned it's resilience and fitness that hold him back. You get that by playing regularly. Give the lad a chance stick him out on loan to toughen him up see how he goes.

What injury was it?

I think Wright will likely be kept for another year and wouldn’t be surprised if Sheaf stays.

I certainly hope so. I also think it’s silly to lose so many players, you only have to replace them with other back up players. I think it’s too much to do.

Should we lose Wilson and Collins we have to sign 2 more keepers. Lose Sheaf, Allen, Eccles we need 3 more cm’s in. Just gives us too much unnecessary business to do I think.

Thigh injury preseason against Port Vale, was getting good reviews. Took 5 months to get fit. Probably a bit to do with his fitness and resilience that it took that long but like I said that can be worked on.

I’ve heard not so great things about his work ethic

Wasn’t the feeling Lampards comments about Saka being able to teach some other wingers about work rate was aimed at him?

Interested on the striker as assume it’s one we think would be good enough for the step up? Wouldn’t mind getting rid of all four of them tbh. Wright just isnt either the striker I think Lampard wants or the winger either. He’s a great inside forward to nick a FM term. Also would allow funds for Lampard tostart to build his own team.

I want to like Simms and feel there is a player there and on paper would suit Lampard. But he’s got no real aggression, and offers little in terms of hold up play, do feel he’s better in the squad mind for his presence.

BTA could be a good option but again just not consistent. If happy to be a bench option, fair enough but think Jimmy alluded to him wanting to be the main striker.

Bassette is just way too raw for this league. Got huge potential and would love to see him loaned to a top half league one side next year.

All forwards in this league are inconsistent hence why they are playing at this level but Haji is a 20 goal a season striker, i certainly wouldn’t accept anything less than what we paid if it was up to me.

It'd probably loan him out to League One and see how he gets on up until Xmas. At this point though, considering his age and him still supposedly not being fit enough to play, I don't think he has a future with us.
