There was zero chance of either Bassette or Raphael getting any meaningful game time.
It was blindingly obvious that Lampard didn't rate them.
So moving the pair of them on makes PERFECT sense.
The club have handled this so badly they've almost to make the new signing announcement a complete downer. I feel bad for the bloke honestly, it's a bit of a shit show.
