Not at all , we had less to do than all those clubs , our squad is better and we are a better team than all those clubs .
So we stand still? We had less to do, so they bring players in, we dont. Thats a backwards step. If every team around you improves and you stick, sure as shit they'll end up better than you and you'll go backwards!

Why are you on about swapping squads??? Nobody wants to swap our entire squad you moron! But theyre all making signings, and some good ones to boot. Whilst were putting all our eggs in 1 basket and missing others whilst doing so. Only to drop the basket and break the eggs at the death anyways.

Our squad is already pretty good , we dont need to add many players .

Stop crying and wait and see

Wrexham have spent £30m according to SSN just now. Christ. Imagine us spending that after being promoted

I’m more optimistic then some on here but this is starting to get me bed wetting now.

I think the first 11 is up there, but as it stands think we have some issues with our depth. Which is a problem due to how physically taxing this league is. What makes it worse is I think we have funds but seemingly no idea how to spend them. Annoyed tbh

I’m confused do you get more points if you sign them earlier in the day ? Seems some fans are wetting themselves because nothing has been announced 3 hrs before the deadline ….
3 hours to go and we need to get 3 over the line. It is a little bit concerning that, other than Woolfenden, there doesn't seem to be a sniff of anything yet.

So he isnt responsible for recruiting virtually all of our current team?
He’s responsible for a number of them yes but this is a window in which we need to push on and if we don’t then questions do need to be asked.
He was also part of the group that seemingly fell out with Robins (reading between the lines) and has failed at previous clubs and roles.
That said remain positive that there will be a few new additions today.

In all honesty, given the spend, Birmingham really should be up there. But given what both them and Wrexham have spunked i think they could both be better honestly. Like Wrexham, a lot of signings that are at their peak rather than improving too.
As for their revenue, i'm not sure its where Wagner says it is at, i'm sure its higher than ours but the geezer is dodgy as fuck. Of the 2 i'd imagine Blues are more at threat of being punished if this doesn't come off than Wrexham are.
I agree, but it's a huge number of players that will quickly become unhappy when they're spending more time out of the squad than on the pitch. The manager then also has to find a way of getting his team to work cohesively which he may stumble on accidentally like Chelsea did, or not at all.

While I think it's total bullshit that effing Wrexham can get so much from some Hollywood faces pulling in favours and just wish they'd piss off, it means they're in no danger of falling foul of the rules. Birmingham however it seems much shadier. If the American Tommy Shelby wannabe doesn't get what he wants property wise I think he'll leave them high and dry.

Of course we do. The squad that wasnt good enough last season, all of a sudden becomes a squad that is? With no huge improvements? In the space of 3 months?

I'm hoping we have some surprises coming however the lack of journo links to us is slightly worrying (even with DK plugging leaks you'd still hear from agents or other clubs). We have a good starting 11, however our strength in depth is poor. You look at the game vs Oxford... started to look very tired and you look at the subs bench, there's nobody to bring on who is at the same level or at the very least, change the profile of player to help change the game dynamic. If we're heading into the season with our subs bench having multiple goalkeepers and LBs again, we are asking for trouble.

The one player we subbed on v Oxford, is at a better level than the one we brought off in the position he came on in .. & changed the dynamic of the game in that he created one of our’s and the games best chances (all in the space of 5 minutes).

So we've lost Binks and Sheaf gained KKH, Brau and Wolfenden. Certainly stronger at the back (as long as Wilson regains his place ;) ), which was our top priority.
But arguably weaker in midfield and have not developed depth on our wings which has gotten worse since Wright has been moved to the number 9. Again Sheaf never really played anyway but god we need someone in so the drop off from Eccles isn’t a cliff edge

Have we improved??
As things stand, weaker in defence, weaker in midfield and no improvement in attack. Defence will be sorted, and I think we'll end up stronger there (certainly in terms of squad). Midfield we need a development player/cover. Attack is where I feel we need a player who improves us. Let's see where we are in a few hours, but as it stands we're worse off than we were at the beginning of the window.

I wouldn't say that Birmingham and Wrexham are panic buying but it does seem to be spontaneous and that doesn't necessarily work. What happens if they are midtable by January? more buying?
I really don't know enough about Wrexham's and Birmingham's manager but they are in positions they could have only dreamt about. Both club's fans think they may need to change the manager at some point in the season to compete at the top of the league, is this what other people think or is it a little harsh?

Since lampards arrival i believe our league record would see us hit over 80 points over 46 games , not alot to do is exactly right, a large overhaul now would be mental

I find Wrexham cringey but i don't hate them. Birmingham, a bigger club, essentially trying to stand on their shoulders and become a temu version, is tinpot as fuck and i don't think it works either. Who the hell gives a fuck about Birmingham City?
