About Hughes projected level in a year then in value, I just had a thought he could be another Harry McGuire (Hughes)

Yeah I’d like Hughes but looks like they are asking for ridiculous money.

don't say you think a player is good and would be a good signing or someone will be asking you how many times you've watched him

Keep him in the bag in case a last minute one doesn’t get through I reckon.

Not too excited by the Woolfenden signing (if money not an issue, then would prefer Hughes), but hard to argue that he’s not an upgrade on Binks

Be careful what you wish for

I think Binks tried a bit to hard to impress at times

Or did we extend his contract knowing there is interest in him?

I can’t say I’m that overly excited by the signing judging from the reports and his stats (yes I know stats only tell half a story). He does seem to be a tidy player but he’s seems to be weak aerially and in the tackle which is a concern for a CB.

Does he ultimately strengthen our squad? Yes but I think that’s about the limit of my excitement.

Rarely dribbled past, still in the top percentiles for aerial duels won, clearances, interceptions and blocked shots. Ideally as a centre half he shouldn’t be having to make too many tackles!

I mean if they're throwing good money around. Given Sheaf's injury record (and with a replacement) you'd absolutely snap their hands off wouldn't you?!

Selling our captain and a proven championship player, to then loan in a kid from Chelsea that’s never played men’s football? What the actual fuck

Don’t have an issue selling Sheaf. Imagine the Chelsea midfielder will come in on loan to cover him

That’s poor recruitment, he’s barely even played for the first team. If you think it makes us stronger you are deluded

If we’re honest sheaf hasn’t been very good for over a year. If Wrexham are willing to pay big money for him it might be our last chance to cash in.

Given the money they've been splashing around then it should* be nothing less than £15m.

*It's not going to be that much if the story is true.

Grimes needs to be skipper IMO.

Sheaf to sheep strokers? Call him an Uber. Get the money.

I’d rather let Sheaf go for 6m than MVE any day of the week.

If Torp and Grimes stay fit, Sheaf wouldn't be playing many minutes.

Injury prone and seems scared to get injured when he is on the pitch.
