MvE going is probably the best thing that could happen if it frees up some cash for elsewhere. RB easily our strongest depth. Love him though and would be gutted. Hope we bring in a new character.

He's started the season on fire so it's extra sad but it makes sense and we could do a lot with that money. Seems like we've held firm on our value pretty well again.

Wish we’d sold MvE in July so we didn’t get 3 games to remind ourselves how good he is. Sad to see him go but players have to move out as part of the overall model. Hopefully the funds mean we can bring some in this week.

Yeah got no opinion on it being bollocks or not. Saw it on the Chelsea chronicle so thought to share.

Don’t know if it’s a good source.

Edit: looks to be a really good source https://x.com/siphillipssport

This post does make a bit of sense.

If we sold Milan then at least if we signed Asante he covers both CB and RB

Coventry City urged to duck move for Ipswich Town's Luke Woolfenden for "much, much better option"

The Tractor Boys rejected an initial offer from the Sky Blues for Woolfenden.

If Doug completes all this then I'd say his bollocks are the biggest in the City

It's not only the fact the player sounds unrealistic but we have 3 left backs already you'd need an exit strategy for both Bidwell and Dasilva.

Signing a 4th left back, one who has barely kicked a ball for 3 years on massive wages? Come off it boys

We'll there are 4 GKs at the club lol so we ain't afraid to have a shit load of players for one position , unless Derby are coming in for Bidwell and Lamps wants Brau to play further up? He's played him a few times LW in preseason, it is a weird link tbh

Isnt chilwell on like 200k a week with 2 years left?
I know chelsea are desperate too offload, to the point there were rumours of looking at paying Chilwell off to delist, but he's still a 100 - 200k a week player.

Milan was gone the day we signed KKH. Been brilliant for us but the model doesn’t work without selling players at the right time.

What's the name of this other RB we're after again? Assumed it was bollocks but if MvE is off there may be something in it, so have to do my research.

They've been looking for a bit more money probably but it doesn't seem to have been happening. He's been brilliant so far as you say.

This probably needs to happen to bring in a CB, I don't know but that's just the way I've seen it all summer.

Mve off isn't the biggest surprise and glad we held out to get the deal we wanted. It's all part of the model but he has been on fire past couple games hopefully doesn't distrupt things to much as I think character is a big plus for the squad

Just don't understand why we've been playing him if hes off

Firstly, why risk an injury if we're banking on 12 million quid

Secondly, youd bed KKH in at RB and not be bringing him on out of position no?

I see your point but Milan is the better player and franks gonna pick his best team.

Also probably better to introduce a new player slowly with sub appearances

They'd do that if a move was imminent but not a couple of weeks away or if a move was still uncertain.

Cause he's our best right back and we're trying to get promoted
Until he's left the building I would imagine he starts every league game

Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, Tyrique Asante, Brandon Thomas-Assante, Kaine Kesler-Hayden... If we got the two were linked with then Oggy might have to stop doing commentary and have a rest with those names

Because he’s our best right back mate? Until he goes he’s one of the first names on the team sheet?

Agree siphillips is a really good Chelsea source, but this does seem pretty strange. Can’t believe we could possibly afford him or pay his wages for a purchase, but as a loan If Chelsea pay most of his wages I could perhaps see it with an obligation to buy should we be promoted. But all seems a bit of a stretch to be honest.
