Shmmeee,

It’s been a momentous day. You’ve picked out a negative on a day where we’ve become owners of the stadium and won 7-1.

Id like more players but come on. We’ve won 3 out of the first 4 games and scored 13 goals. Just enjoy the moment

If I knew at five to 1 we’d win 7-1 I’d be a lot richer than I am.

What does this mean in context though? Even before today’s game, we drew at home (not perfect but not a defeat), won the next 2, it’s a decent start in comparison so no need to be negative. And then we had today’s news and an almost record championship win.

I don’t think we’ve massively improve the first team this summer. That’s what it means. I like Rushworth, but he’s had a few questionable goals already including today so for me the jury is out on him vs Dovin. Everyone else is literally the same.

First team looks OK, but I think over a season we’ll need better to finish top four which should be the aim.

Now are those with huge lists of needs for transfers finally going to shut up. We need another centre half and a back up right back after we've sold MVE. End of.

I’m going to throw it out there that the team that’s scored 12 goals in the last two games doesn’t need to spend any more money on strikers.
Let's not get carried away, we've played 3 piss poor teams, and yes we've done well, but there will be far harder tests.

You pull me up each time I've said I think we will finish 2nd to 4th. You seem to think there could well be 9 sides better than us. I have stated my reasoning including poor manager appointments for Southampton and Sheffield United. Yes we could do with another CB minimum but we're certainly a better side than last season.

Maybe if you put your views on the reasons why you think we will be so bad this season we would be able to take you seriously for once.

Very negative take I admit, but does today’s performance make it less likely we’ll keep the vulnerable three (Rudoni, MVE and Thomas)?

I think over the season there’s probably nine teams who could finish above us yeah. Last season 5-10 was 5 points. When we finished 5th before is was 4 points. Fine margins. By comparison those seasons 4th to 5th was 7 points and 5 points respectively so more than 5-10. It’s a big jump up to 4th.

I mean is today not possibly the best day in the history of our club since 1987? Certainly up there.

I know I’m not allowed to say this but as you asked. I don’t think we’ll know for a while. Everyone who has owned the long leasehold to the arena has failed to make any money from it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ashley was happy to get shot of a loss making enterprise. So I think a lot will hang on can we sweat it like others couldn’t? And we won’t know that for a few years. But I wasn’t as concerned about us moving out the city again as some others so I get that angle.

Who and why?

Most clubs are weaker this season than last. We are the only side to keep our squad together. We have a very good manager and coaching team.

And how about our start? 12 goals in the last 2 games. Is it a fluke?

First few games are lovely but we’ve been here a few years ago and ended up 12th so feet on the ground. I think we’ve seen the last two years the squad size bite us, though last season it worked in our favour a bit by the forced formation change, by the end we looked a lot more tired than Sunderland IMO and same against Luton a few years back, Gus and Vik dragged us there and Gus gave out at the end and lost it. So I think like most upper half championship teams we’ll have purple patches and whatever the opposite colour is and we’ll probably end up 6 or so points around that 5-10 spot. That might be enough if we’re top of it to get playoffs but I don’t think we’ll be in a good position to win them compared to finishing 3/4 where you tend to be a little bit more comfortable at the end and not on a mad sprint. Unless you’re unlucky enough to be close to top two and just miss out which levels it up a bit.

Your posts have become more and more odd recently tbf. You've made up a load of shit about a player being carried up in your head and got angry about it because it's not one of the names you've come up with.

Hull obviously have no intention of selling Hughes for anything other than a fee we obviously can't afford. So again, completely irrelevant if people are excited by it.
Think Hughes was out of the Hull team against Blackburn?
