The best moment of my CCFC supporting life in that run, not to be sniffed at. But it sure did derail the league season before we ditched the wingbacks and adapted.

i wouldn’t have missed the adrenaline rush that was the 70’s & 80’s. Glad it ended and sanity was restored but by christ it was character building. I was going to say. Most of those in their 20's and early 30's only have games like the Wolves game, or the playoff semi's.I wasn’t alive then so a bit difficult to relate!

Pity that VAR robbed us of a final ourselves but that minute of celebrating was unbeatable.I was going to say. One of my all time least favourite modern football words...but yes that may well happen. Would be slightly irritating if the players responsible for said 'project' not working out then didn't realise the connection, but there we are.It’s just not that desperate a situation.
The bigger risk is selling Rudoni and not replacing him adequately. If that leads to results tailing off and another year in the ‘5 year plan’ passes by without getting closer to the Prem… There’s a real possibility that we’re forced into a full rebuild if more players end up leaving because the project no longer seems realistic.
I may rue these words but I’m just not worried about him leaving this summer.
