We only sell Rudoni if A we get a ridiculous amount E.G £20 million+ and B we have a replacement in the door before selling.

Southampton being a championship club, we should really turn the screw if they want him, £25 million plus Edwards on a perm deal. Is it realistic hell no but we shouldn’t be realistic this late

Would need to be a massive fee with 3 years left.

We all knew coming into this window that MVE and Rudi would be targets for other clubs and if the bids / players terms were high enough they would go … If you didn’t know you should have.

This happens at every level …..

And only three weeks to spend it. Look what happened when we sold Hamer late in the window

Sorry that’s bollocks. Fans have bought season tickets etc in droves. If we sell our best player to a league rival that takes the piss.

I know, but unless MVE goes, we cannot afford to not sell anyone.

Crazy how content some would be with selling our best player to a team in the same division with 3 weeks left of the window. It would completely kill the season.

We’d all love to keep him but you can’t turn down circa £20m for a player you spent £4m on a year ago.

It would hurt though. Especially late in the window.

I'm delighted at a potential £15-20m coming in for a player we bought for £5m 12 months ago.

If there are replacements, it's outstanding business.

It’s madness. It’s ok though, we still have BTA and Simms

If I cared about gross profit I’d go stand outside my local accountancy firm every Saturday instead. I want to watch us win games of football, not win the spreadsheet league.

Don’t even know who we could bring in to replace him? Doubt Brownhill is realistic

You sell Rudoni if you think you have no chance of going up this year. Sends a message if they do and it's not an outrageous fee.

Or course it is, it's a huge loss and we would need a replacement ASAP.

However, similar things were said about Sheaf, he's not worth next to nothing.

I just don't know how we can afford to turn down £15-20m.

We know Southampton are in for him though and rumours of Newcastle. If it was that close why risk playing him tonight

That said, money talks and if it’s £20m+ he’s probably off

15 million is way below what we should deem as acceptable, especially from a rival team

You can't tell a fanbase who are buying season tickets that the aim is to be in with a chance of promotion again, then sell your best player to a team in the same division.
It would be completely unacceptable.

You win football matches by improving the quality of your team and you do that by selling single assets that enable you to invest in better players across the squad.

Then do it in June, not with only three weeks to adequately replace

Yeah you do that at the start of the window or you front load your spending. You don’t try and spend £30m in three weeks like some EFL Brewsters Millions.

This us how football works and always has done/ if you are surprised then you should give your head a wobble.

Also IF it’s true then Rudi and his agent will have told Southampton they would be willing to join to them … clubs rarely bid twice unless encouraged by the player ….

Ok let’s just sell him then. Hope you’re happy watching BTA run around like a clueless headless chicken whilst Rudoni inevitably gets promoted with Southampton

Southampton turned down £35 million for TD , club has to say at least 20 million plus add ons for JR.

Im not saying he won’t be sold but it would be strange playing him tonight if there were on ongoing talks and a deal was close. I don’t know how quick hamer deal came about
