Another highlight reel produced as this news comes out. Bit like MVE the other day.

He’s a good player.

Zaroury is talented but prefers to be on the left. As does Mikey Moore. We need to be looking at the other side

Brownhill. Birmingham were even linked with Pelé and Lev Yashin last week FFS

I love how much these rumours are ramping up, and how silly they're getting.

Long may it continue.

It’s all good fun. Love the transfer window. I do think there will be a couple of surprises before the window ends.

Oh it will continue and it will get more random, its down to a mix of frustration, boredom and excitement about the new season. We will be looking forward to the window closing soon enough.

We probably won't sign him anyway (and this is gonna sound weird), but the thing I like about this guy is his legs. He looks sturdy yet quick, they're like the right type of legs, moves well but also holds the ball up well, seems like he could take a bit of abuse and not get injured every 3rd game like some of our players. Good crosser too by the looks of it, get it done Doug

Would you give him a 3 leg massage?

Yes, he was offered a new and improved contract (on prem wages) but hasn't signed as yet, so is currently a free agent.

Obviously looking for a better offer and/or a big fat signing on fee.

Could have been told he would be a bench player as they are bringing someone else in?

This doesn’t really surprise me as I suggested before, he fits the profile of the player we were looking at according to the Mail, but he’s joining Rangers now so hopefully we’ve got another option lined up.

Not what we needed really, far from a priority position. Blues will be fuming he turned down 'the project' though.

This is an interesting one ….

if Frank sees Wright as our main striker then we don’t have cover for EMC wide left who we know can pick up injuries. BTA gets deployed in emergencies but it’s not his position.

We also know that we don’t have cover for Tats and I don’t consider Raphael proven enough to consider him adequate cover of Tats had to miss a number of matches.

Therefore it’s not surprising we are looking at wide players who can play off either flank.

Yeah for all the talk of a Striker, we have 4 so need to shift 2 before we can seriously talk about that

It’s on the wing where we don’t have enough depth

If we were to bolster up top I don't think we'd really be aiming for 'cover' we'd be aiming for players that can challenge to get in the first 11 from the off.
Of those positions I'd say left is least needed if you're looking at players who can play the position well enough to be considered as a starter.
CF: Wright
RF: Sakamoto
LF: Wright, EMC
That said if Frank has other ideas and a shit hot left sided forward comes in then he can crack on i suppose, I'm all for decent players coming in.

Bassette would benefit greatly from a loan so then it's just can we shift one of Simms/BTA. Let's hope so.

He ain’t going to be short of offers that’s for sure. There was that one reply to a message by a Burnley fan saying he had heard he was Coming to us so I’ll treat that for the truth for a few hours if I may until he turns up at Everton or West Ham

Where would he play in our team? Surely we aren’t looking for a Rudoni replacement already.

Doug pulled the plug, refused to finance the extra security required to stop members of this forum sneaking up on him and spunking all over his legs.

We desperately need winger (s) - ideally 2, playing across front 3 ideal, one being a developmental type maybe.

we still also need a right back presuming MVE goes, hopefully that’s lined up ready to go if needed.

Striker can wait for me, as people have said we have plenty! Defence being sorted further and winger (s) priority.

We are about to start the season in less than 2 weeks with BTA as our main striking option.

When Haji is unfit we lack any serious top end quality.

I do agree 2 signings would be ideal (a CF who can play across the line and a RW).

Does anyone know if we’re any closer to players leaving? Would have thought Collins, Bidwell and one of Sheaf, Allen and Eccles would have moved but we’re a week and a half out from the season starting and as it stands don’t look any stronger than last year.

If we’re waiting for people to move before signing anymore are we in danger of targets going elsewhere.

Point being though, we still were 4th top scorers in league, for me we’ve become fixated that the 9 has to score all the goals. Think there has only been 2 strikers get 20+ goals in last few years in championship.

don’t disagree it’s an issue and ideal world we would flip couple of them, but again, what’s coming in needs to be better and that’s hard to find.

Defence was the biggest issue, partially sorted, but still work to do.
