Got it in one. 'for all his defensive faults'I think Lampard likes JDS as, for all his defensive faults, he’s a good footballer. And I think Lampard wants as many technical players on the pitch as possible.
So I don’t think he’ll see it as big a priority as we all do.

It really all comes down to what they signed him for. Was it to replace MVE or to play on the left.

Right and left back is a very specialist position. You can't just decide to play a Right back at left back just to get him in the team, especially as we have 3 left backsWhy?
