The two weakest positions last season were LB and GK (without Dovin in the team) plus cover for MVE Those look to have been the first priorities this window, whether it's Brau or KKH at LB, plus talk of a keeper coming in. We can talk of an experienced CB, cover for RW and a goal scoring striker as the next batch of priorities, but conceding daft goals needs to stop

Well id be amazaed if he played KKH there until we ship out at least 1 of the current ones
Why?

So you would be amazed that we would play a player with great prospects and who had a very good season in the Championship last season because other players were here before him? That's like saying you would be amazed if we signed Rushworth and played him before Wilson or Collins unless we managed to get rid of one of them.

He can play both sides. We currently still have MVE and haven't heard much about anyone being in for him. MVE would play on the right before KKH. That leaves the left to KKH.

It really all comes down to what they signed him for. Was it to replace MVE or to play on the left.

Probably the latter but if MvE doesn't move as expected I'd imagine he'll start on the left as he'd still be a significant upgrade on what is there currently.

If we still have MVE i can't see anything else but KKH starting on the left. He hasn't been brought in to warm the bench.

Was the last bit really necessary ? Doesn't prove anything
If someone is so certain of something happening then why not? Made £100 for our season ticket fund at the end of last season.

Of course it proves nothing. Just like arguing that JDS will start before KKH when common sense says otherwise.

Right and left back is a very specialist position. You can't just decide to play a Right back at left back just to get him in the team, especially as we have 3 left backs

Has KKH played LB in pre season out of curiosity?

But he plays both sides.......

In 158 apps he's played 10 at left back. He's played 60 right mid. If you were to say he might get pushed up the right as competition for sakamoto then I'd agree. I think saying he will be left back is a bit of a stretch, unless we get injuries

He played LB at times last season. Out of the 3 awards Preston have he won all 3. He is good in a few positions. If we have a good RB (MVE) why wouldn't we play him on the left?

This is mental. We have 62% of us that think Wilson as 1st choice with Collins as No.2 is good enough. We know LB was a problem last season yet think someone who plays as LB won't play as LB because we already have LB's that we know are not good enough.

He filled in at LWB for a 14 game stretch last season and a handful of games throughout his career. He’s a young player who is perhaps building versatility, but more likely there was a need for him to fill in there.

Given the noise around MVE in Jan and his suspiciously timed change in representation this summer, KKH strikes me as a preemptive signing before we lose MVE.

Hamer left for Sheff U after Wimbledon in the cup and he’d supposedly told the club he wanted to leave after the playoff final. For all we know, we’ve said to MVE that if he can find a club that’ll match our valuation, we won’t stand in his way.

I fully agree. Which is why I say if MVE is still with us he will play on the right. Nobody disagrees with this. If this happens I can't see KKH being left on the bench. I can't see anything else but him playing on the left. Of course it all changes if MVE is sold. But like I said earlier there's not been much said about any interest in MVE leaving yet.

We can only guess what happens next. We don't even know what this mysterious £15m cash injection was for. We have spent about £7m more than the money that came in from the sales of Gyokeres and Hamer. Is it take on Lampard and give him and his team a little boost? Is it to cover signings until the money comes back in from later sales?

Only King knows what King is prepared to do. Nothing can be stated as fact. All we can do is work out from the present situation. The present situation is we still have MVE. MVE was distraught when his mistake cost us the playoffs. Does he want out or does he want to correct a wrong? Will anyone offer what we will accept?

Edit...

14 games last season is nearly 1/3 of the season. In this time he was easily the best player they had. This was in the Championship. If anyone can show he wasn't good at LB I will admit I'm wrong. I didn't watch their games unless when we played them. But I've seen nothing about him not being a good LB.

Quite right, that's not a fact ...

... his mistake didn't cost Coventry the playoffs.

Sorry to interrupt, something about Josh Windass just popped up on my my WhatsApp group.
