Obviously JH has his finger on the pulse as usual.

I did wonder if Lamps might know Paddy from his Chelsea days. He'd be good if he could stay fit but unfortunately that is just going to happen. Wife's a Leeds fan, calls him Paddy Breadstick due to his resilience to injury

No way are we trying to 'hijack' Josh Windass to Wrexham. Absolute drivel.

Didn’t Bamford play for Derby under Lampard?

Not unless Lampard managed them in 2014

Ah yes you’re right. I was at the PO Final Derby against QPR and remember him coming on late in the match. But it was Steve McClaren not Lampard who was Derby Manager then.

Not arsed if we lose out, would be a good squad option on a free, but would get more game time at Wrexham I'd imagine

Hate to be that guy

But we've got 18 days now until the start of the season

Get a fucking move on. We clearly need some outs yes, but we've still got GK and CB that need addressing pronto

You dont, you love being that guy

I'd be worried if you werent moaning about something. It seems like the keeper is sorted.

He has a valid point though, and the same that many of the rest of us are thinking. We hardly want a team of strangers on opening day

But regardless whoever comes in now the team on the opening day is going to have 1 maybe 2 brand new starters max.

Why would it be a team of strangers? How many new signings are you anticipating starting on the opening day ?

Put it another way. I think most are sick of the 'gelling' excuse that usually gets trotted out when we have a poor start. Get business done early enough and that's all done in training

We're not desperate, which is a good thing. If the keeper gets sorted we're good to go honestly. I think we're going to show more ambition than that but deals for good players in demand can take time, i'm sure we'll see something this week.
Also there's a couple we could really do with moving on but we need interest first.

The excuse hardly washed last season, Robins got fired after all. I don't think Lampard will push that line like Robins did honestly, I'm sure he'll have us ready.

team of strangers....
Worked for Jimmy Hill in 1963 - five new forwards
Worked for Bobby Gould in 1983 - a whole new frigging team

The 11 who are likely to start, except for Rushworth, are all here. Thats the most important thing.

I personally think the GK and LB will be new. Other newbies if any on the bench. I seriously hope Rushworth comes in and makes a difference
