Well yeah. This is my point too. If we even just get one more signing then please be a keeper. Be worth 10 points alone.

Interesting to see Dovin already in the gym. Being a goalkeeper maybe the recovery time is much less. The fact he is 22 and so young will help also. If he is going gym work now I can’t actually see him that far away.

Being in the gym 3 months after surgery is on time for ACL recovery - so not surprising. He's probably still 6 months off

Exactly this. I've had 9 knee ops, including a full ACL recon, and static bike work is pretty much prescribed for every knee op ever from about the 4 week mark. He will not be rushed.

Depends for me on what the new striker is like. Since these two are quite different I’d like to keep variety up front. If we sign a target man sell Simms if we sign a Poacher (like Godden for example) sell BTA
Except BTA isn’t a poacher …. I think that’s his problem …. He’s a willing runner who scores a few very good goals a season…. I personally think Bassette and BTA are currently too similar.

I’ve no idea how good Bertaccini is or about the state of Belgian football, but I look at his showreel earlier in this thread, the grounds and crowds and wonder what level is he playing at. While the voices in my head scream “Andy Morrell”.

sakamoto was from a relegated side in that division so its a good standard and the team he plays for are a decent side so he’s a good player. I want him here now as he looks like a B-tec Kvistgaarden which is who I wanted originally

Our strike rate on bringing in players that improve us and gaining in value is quite good you may say. Our foreign signings have been pretty good since Hamer. They won't all work out but as long as most do it is OK with me.

I rate them initially on looks alone and this Bertacini fella looks like he eats things he’s found on the floor.

That being said if he signs and starts scoring goals immediately I will rate him higher.
Is bin dipping rated higher than eating off the floor? 🤔

All signings are a gamble but someone scoring freely in the Belgian league is a worthy gamble. It's a decent league and currently ranked higher than the more trendy Portuguese league which churns out bucket loads of incredibly expensive players.

Interesting that it ranks higher than the Eredivisie where we got Hamer and MVE

So far rumoured squad:

GK - Dovin | Wilson | Collins
RB - van Ewijk | Kesler-Hayden
RCB - Thomas | Latibeaudiere
LCB - Kitching | Binks
LB - Toffolo | Brau | Dasilva | Bidwell
CDM - Grimes | Sheaf | Travis
CM - Torp | Eccles | Allen | Andrews | Moore
CAM - Rudoni
RW - Sakamoto | Dolan
ST - Bertaccini | Simms | Asante | Bassette | Obikwu | Daush
LW - Wright | Mason-Clarke

can see Bidwell definitely leaving and maybe Dasilva if Toffolo comes in, Andrews and Moore out on loan, Allen going if the fee is right, a number 10 coming in if Allen goes, one of Simms or Asante leaving, Bassette and Daush out on loan, Obikwu may get a chance if he impresses in pre-season

That's 26 senior players and we can only use 25 of them.
