Marseille have an obligation to buy Neal Maupay this summer, but they're selling him straight on. There are reports that he's about to join a Championship club. Frank signed him for Everton - is there any chance that he looks to bring him here? His record over the last few years is pretty ropey and he's bound to be on a high wage.

Bloody hell... if Viks going for less than £30m for us to only get £750k, Doug should get the chequebook out!
I think we need Vorderman in to sort this Vik sell on once and for all..

Could be wrong but my understanding is we now get 10% of any profits SCP make (it was 15% but we sold 5% back to them)

So if he goes for the 50m reported it's:

50m - 21m = 29m

10% = 2.9m but we'd then owe Brighton ~10% of that

So we are looking at 2.6m?

Im pretty sure you're on the right lines.

So for us to only get 750k as per the original quote... he'd need to go for roughly 30m.

No chance they sell him that cheaply this summer

Birmingham apparently.

We have to face the fact that if we don’t go up this season next year will be tougher. The three relegated sides, one of Sheffield United or Sunderland, and Birmingham and Wrexham will spend a load of dough

Well £2.6m is good money to have without selling anyone but to be honest might just cover the losses we would incur selling Simms and BTA

Be very interesting how ambitious we are given it’s Lampards first full pre season

Do we have to sell one of the prized assets to recruit the quality we need too?

If this left back is signing and it’s a freebie that could be a shrewd bit ofbusiness

I think we’ll spend pretty big on a RW and ST

Pretty sure we'd get our money back for BTA. A lot of Simms deal was dependent on us getting promoted wasn't it, might not be that bad.

Have a feeling we'll keep at least one of those but if we didn't teams do pay out for strikers. BTA had reported interest in January, I doubt that has changed. Simms is young and could come good, plenty of team would take a punt

We will have to be great in the market but its about getting quality and then balance it with experience as you do need some players that will increase in value like Rudi, Milan and Thomas have to allow development of the club.

We need 1 or 2 of Norman, Rod, Obikwu, Moore or Andrews to step in and add to the 1st team squad if championship is where we are next season.

But i honestly don't care if people think its harder or what others do, we are an a top established championship team with very good coaches and a big name manager. If players want to go elsewhere and not play in front of top fans in a good stadium for a progressive club, im happy to watch them sign elsewhere. I want players who care and players who want success on the pitch 1st. FL will know who can help us, as he did with Grimes.

We need that good start, a full squad of first team choices and a great coaching team. 1/3 so far.

The league is supposedly always tougher every year
