long way home

If Doug cant get anything done by the close he will and deserves to be heavily criticized. Its been obvious what's been needed and we have had time to get things done. But we do seem to put all our eggs in one basket and then end up with nobody having to make do...

As a group they maybe close but it's not balanced and that is going to be a worry as it could potentially cost us a top 2 spot. We certainly have been down the road with Doug before, this time effort and an excuse will not be swallowed by the fans. All around are closing the gap in more ways than one

Austin has built a squad that’s consistently competed at the right end of the table and is now top of the league. Yes he was dealt a good hand with the Vik and Gus money, but it’s a hand he played well. There are plenty of teams who’ve spent more money in this division who have much less to show for it.

Someone will be blaming Dr Claire Marie Roberts again before too long

Seen a few on Facebook saying that Onyeka is on his way in with Rudoni being sold to Brentford and being loaned back for the remainder of the season. I can see it happening in fairness.

He’s spent £40m odd and got a team that’s worth about £40m odd. We’ve not managed to dig up much value in that and have overpaid in a few cases. Lampard has us top but the same team got Robins sacked because it was 17th. The quality isn’t where it should be really for the cash spent.

Someone like Rudi or Thomas will have a purple patch and people on here will claim they’re PL players but in reality none of them are close to the quality of a Gus or Vik and all of them cost a lot more.

He’s a huge downgrade from Badlan.
This team is worth far more than £40m what are you smoking lol

if We were doing anything else I think we’d of got them in by now, maybe we’ve settled for worst case it’ll be the play offs, im
still not convinced anpther Midfielder would make a difference to how we defend,

Can we get a Crowd Fund together to provide King Doug with sum extra Mullah to get these 'deals' over the line?

If we all chip in a tenner we might just be able to cover a weeks wages

A hypothetical question now:

If Rudoni does go to Brentford and we get him back for the rest of the year, and it allows us to sign Hamer and Onyeka, would you be happy or disappointed?

Rudoni, Torp, MVE for starters. All worth probably triple what we paid for them.

If MvE was worth >£10m he wouldn’t be here. That was literally the fee we were holding out for no one would bid.

I disagree Rudi is worth £15m or Torp £6m too tbh.

Why are you all listening to Facebook idiots.

Brentford would be mad to want Rudoni, he's only played at top class championship level for about 15 games of his career.
