There is an extremely high chance that it is, in fact, good enough. We shall see at the end of the season.
Are we no longer classing Jake Bidwell or Josh Eccles as capable players now?
Bidwell absolutely

You are correct it isnt asking for much., You however go into a major meltdown if we dont actually acheive thatThe usual anti signing brigade are saying we should be happy with what we have.
All thats being asked for is a statement midfield signing ala Hamer, Louza, Onyeka and Andrews going out on loan.
That isn't asking for the world, particularly for a team at the top of the league looking to cement their position there.
If we get to a point in the season where not losing is what's needed (rather than needing the 3 points), then Bidwell will be useful, or protecting a lead in the last 10. He is still a decent defender. If we are playing a team who are launching it into the box, Bidwell will be more useful than DaSilva.I dont want Bidwell playing any games in the run in, you are correct.
I dont really do I.You are correct it isnt asking for much., You however go into a major meltdown if we dont actually acheive that
And as good as if not better than quite a few midfielders in the PremHe’s been displaced by Granit Xhaka who’s the best player in that squad by a long distance. I no longer think he’s what we need but he isn’t a bad player.
We've suffered this season? In the summer me and a few other posters said the squad was thin and we would probably suffer as a consequence, which we did.
We have certainly suffered the last month or so yes. We've suffered this season?
Yes, what agony it wasWe have certainly suffered the last month or so yes.
Well yes we have gone from 14 point head start to being in nail biting territory so yes it was pretty bad, glad you agree.Yes, what agony it was
Exactly.I mean, this was the bench against Birmingham
Lampard has done an amazing job with what he has but our poor form in December was because our squad was running on empty

What I find difficult to comprehend is why it seems to take us so long to get some of the players we want in. We can only speculateThe usual anti signing brigade are saying we should be happy with what we have.

Because they're players in demand from elsewhere as well as here. What I find difficult to comprehend is why it seems to take us so long to get some of the players we want in. We can only speculate
I appreciate that yes for Onyeka for example there could be multiple moving parts with AFCON etc, but to me it suggests theres been pretty poor planning all told. What I find difficult to comprehend is why it seems to take us so long to get some of the players we want in. We can only speculate
OK so you think we are likely to suffer no injuries before season end, correct? We had a series of injuries, illnesses and suspensions coupled with a string of some of the hardest games of the season and a couple of rivals hitting form. We signed two new players in positions where we had literally no cover, and now all those injured and suspended players are back. Through it all we remained top of the league by a multi-game margin.
If we decide we want a short-term loan to plug a gap or want to get our PL shopping started early then I'm all for it, but this notion that we're doomed to miss out on promotion unless we sign four or five new PL offcuts in this window is just people struggling to deal with the stress of a (extremely favourable) promotion race.
Yes it is actually no longer possible for us to have anymore injuries and suspensions this season, that's why I've been arguing this all alongOK so you think we are likely to suffer no injuries before season end, correct?
That is your most cohesive argument yetYes it is actually no longer possible for us to have anymore injuries and suspensions this season, that's why I've been arguing this all along

Capable enough to help us get 3pts on boxing dayBidwell absolutely
He’s not good enough, it’s quite simpleCapable enough to help us get 3pts on boxing day
What's the evidence that they do - newspaper/ITK rumours? Anything more concrete than that?Do you accept the club think they want another midfielder even if you disagree?
For what? He’s not good enough, it’s quite simple
Christ this is desperateWhat's the evidence that they do - newspaper/ITK rumours? Anything more concrete than that?
I don't think the club share the view that if we don't get someone in then we're doomed to miss out on promotion
He’s not good enough as a back up for a team top of the league. For what?
Prem? Agree
Next season for us if still in championship? Agree
For 4 more months this season as a back up LB? Of course he is.
Have you seen the Championship table in the last five months? He’s not good enough as a back up for a team top of the league.
He played Vs Swansea and we won and we kept a clean sheet. He’s not good enough as a back up for a team top of the league.
You do know we have games before the window closes? We do need another CM. Probably best to wait until the window is over before moaning about it though.
So long as it's a portion of a game or 1 in 3 there is no reason to doubt his professionalism imo. He’s not good enough as a back up for a team top of the league.
