Not targeting Torp at all. That’s nonsense in itself. But he was poor on Saturday. Yes, the system asked a lot of him but it was basics that were lacking. He may not be fit - fine. But for me he lacks the engine and pace required. Technically he is fantastic.

Hopefully Doug has seen the benefits of quality subs coming on over the last 2 games. Get that CM and back up LB and we've got cover all over the pitch.
Yes Onyeka coming on for Grimes at 60 minutes today would have been huge.

For me something like that is the bare minimum.

If we can shift Bidwell and Brau and get another LB even better.

Too often throughout this game the play was wide open and it just didn't need to be. Without the energy to cover all that ground it's begging for trouble and someone like Onyeka would help massively in providing that.

It would have gone unnoticed, understandably because he was poor for the vast majority of that game (by his standards) but he did a lot of calm, covering & dirty work in that crucial 85 to 95 minute mark.

Yes I am actually impressed by how much he wins in the air considering his size.

I think someone like Onyeka supporting him with natural athletiscism would be excellent.

LB
CM

minimum in this window now
What you picking if we can only get 1? I would have to say LB, although I have a funny feeling that KKH might be FL go to when covering Dasilva (fitness depending)

Tough one but the defence is under immense pressure from a lack of midfield shielding. Either it’s a player problem or a tactical issue for Frank. I’d probably go CM as you say KKH is an option but he’s made of glass.

Just been reading on FB that Sheffield Wed fans think Barry Bannan has played his last match for them due to the emotiond when he was subbed. If he is off, could it be to us?

We need legs.
Barry Bannan has legs! Its kind of how he gets about. Granted not very quickly, but he definitely had legs last time I seen him play.

All joking aside, I do remember him beating MVE in a foot race in the 5-0 win at Hillsborough.

That's harsh, he played better last night than v Leicester imo. His passing % was down but I put that down more to the nature of the game being a lot more frenetic and there was a lot of broken play.

Well I was just putting 2 and 2 together with Saddles claim about us signing a midfielder after the Millwall match and seemingly Bannan as much as saying cheerio last night to the SW fans
