I think everyone understands if this is the case But after multiple tries you would think he or someone around him would stop trying to sell it him as a young kid.

Its fraud plain and simple and all around him know it, so i don't feel sorry for the player or the person. He is out of poverty now, he needs to grow a pair and except that clubs will have ways of finding out. If this truly is the case he and his team are a wondering clown show that should be reported and stopped.

Oh yeah for sure, I would imagine there are deeper layers to it, agents and middle men in the ears of players. Would be an interesting investigation.

My post was more just some context of how they can even begin to fake a DOB

Or just that in his medicals it's been found out he has zero Fitness/ isn't all that.

Flew to Sweden of his own accord for a trial having never played pro before. Perhaps medicals have flagged it's not worth a 4/5 million investment- and the Swedish league is actually trash

My Manneh's on a underlying detrioraiting heart condition, that gets picked up at more complex/advanced medicals. I guess these medicals have some form of NDAs protecting the player if something medically concerning is found.

It's a different kettle of fish, if the player is fraudulently claiming a younger age. The would go straight to the authorities, surely.

It's telling that his club in Sweden were quick to say 'nothing to see here, he passed his medical, Olympiakos fucked around'. Then the player tells some long winded story about Olympiakos only wanting to pay him every 3 months. Lastly on the Greek side there's claims the deal fell through at or just following the medical.

I know who I'm inclined to believe.

I can believe that Greeks messed him about tbf, especially Fat Tony at Olympiakos, but the fact this keeps on happening... its definitely not pushing wages at this point, there's only so many times an agent can fuck that up.

I mean, just look at him. He looks 10 years older than the age he says he is.

However, if we had uncovered proof that his age couldn't be verified I assume we'd have reported it. So perhaps it is just an underlying medical condition.

Kinda love that a random Gambian bloke in his mid 30s can rock up in Sweden and win the league though.

Yeah, definitely. He has been whored around many clubs by the sounds of it, yet not one has signed him.

He has had one standout season, and they claim he is 19. This is the team that has one of the lowest budgets in the Allsvenskan, and Mjällby is basically a small fishing village. I reckon their owner wants to try and make some quick money and has been rumbled! The comments since about him not leaving, leaving, not leaving again, plus some strange rhetoric about the medical in Greece has all my conspiracy alarms fired up!

He say it was also a grand every 3 months which is a not what a pro in the greek top flight would earn,

Even the Olympiakos fans, who know full well their owner's a crook, don't believe his story about only being offered payment every 3 months. None of the other players at Mjallby are attracting anywhere near this much apparent transfer interest, which tells me they also know what the problem is with him and want a big payday before it reveals itself.

Who even gets paid every three months? Not a top flight footballer for certain.

The whole thing is crazy.

Highly unlikely we look at George now, after signing 2 wingers on loan. Shame. He will go to a Prem club anyway.

A 3rd winger makes no sense.

Would be interesting to know if there was genuine interest in George - I'd imagine if there was we didn't want to hold out while he twerked for a move to a bottom-half Prem club

George can play on both wings, at CAM and upfront.

He's a real utility player, and instantly fills the role of any loan wingers when they go back at the end of the year should we go up.

Lampard has already confirmed he doesn’t intend to further strengthen the forward areas in this window ….. next

Disappointing

Although Lampard said nothing was in the pipeline then we went and signed 2 players the following week.

This interview he gave with African press just after it fell through is just bizarre and the opposite of what the Greek journalist reported.

Even that article gives a different age.

Correct, and I know I may be in the minority of one about this but I do not think we need more forwards. Asante is on the mend, Simms has not been off the boil, he may not be everyone's cup of tea but he does a job. Wright did exactly the same last year, went off the boil only to re-emerge and hopefully he does the same again. As well as that we have goals coming from elsewhere.
Sending Perry may be a clue to where his thinking is because often Perry was the only defender on the bench. I also think we need a CM that has been mentioned on here, however, we do not need a loan. Maybe what is needed is to scout a championship CM or captain, like we did with Grimes.

I think we had already moved on from Manneh and gone to Minny. We still need a couple more to improve the group and think we may get them.

If Andrews gets a loan and Bidwell or Brau get a move a defender and CM come in. I just seen Andy Irwing at West ham could be available, he is a player that can play multiple CM roles. I just dont know if he improves us or is better than what we have.

If he can’t get near that shite West Ham team then he won’t improve us
