Yes reports were we had a bid turned down either deadline day or just before. Young CB from Bodo/Glimt, they didn't want to sell at the time but given how their seasons run it'll probably be easier to do a deal in Jan if we still fancy the player.
Completely missed that one tbf. If Bobby’s being redeployed as a centre forward as per @Lamps then I get why we’d need more CBs.

Tbf it's not an urgent position but I don't think clubs necessarily recruit with the simplistic view of the average fan. If we think the player is a talent worth pursuing, at only 20 years of age, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

We're not giving up on Brau who was signed as a long term project after half a season.

Not happening.

Could be that he’s not settled here, or despite being scouted, the coaching staff have seen aspects of his game that they think won’t be improved / change. Can’t get them all right.

He is 23 and was given a 4 year contract. He is not going to be discarded.

Not sure he was bought as a premier league project mind

I dont think we can carry players and at the moment in a small squad you need everyone who is fit to be good enough to make a difference. Unfortunately Brau doesn't look like he can bridge the gap, FL will move him on.

He was signed on a free. There isn’t much to write off if the club and player feel it is best to separate.

He’s getting less and less minutes and if you watch him on match days he’s increasingly an isolated figure.

Despite all the evidence being that Bidwell’s legs have gone he’s ahead of Brau when they wish to rest JDS. When EMC isn’t fit then Brau is not the default player.

Moving to a new country to play football but then not playing will be exceptionally tough.

You couldn’t blame Brau for thinking if the manager doesn’t fancy me at championship level I have no chance if the club go up a league.

they were going to sign him even if we won the play offs

the seem as someone who with time will have a very high ceiling, we're not getting rid of him

also people saying we need to get rid of players to bring new ones in? we have 5 spaces im the squad and we ain't filling all of those

Brau has been a bust. When was the last time he appeared?

He's a project player, only an idiot would write him off after half a season in a new country.
Who said he’s a project player, Lampard? King? Curious to know if this has been quoted

Ridiculous. Based on what? He’s not played. If he gets 20-30 games and is rubbish, fair enough. But you can’t call him a bust when he’s had no game time.

If a player is fit but doesn’t get selected then how else do you judge that ?

At this point in his career at City the transfer hasn’t worked.

Not as ridiculous as wanting to drop Torp for Sheaf

If he’s had no game time, even off the bench then so far that’s the definition of a bust

He's 24 this month. At that age a player really should be getting minutes most weeks, if not every week.

Granted there's a settling in period for international players moving to a new country and a lack of consistent playing time is natural.

But a grand total of 43 minutes since his arrival does raise some question marks - compounded by the fact that the last time he featured was over two months ago now.

It's difficult with Dasilva being a mainstay of course, but is Bidwell really that difficult to displace as a secondary option when he's looked well past his sell by date most times he's set foot on the pitch this season?

If he's going to develop into a Championship ready player, without stating the obvious he needs to be getting regular minutes. If he's not getting regular minutes, you have to question why that might be...

I'm not too worried. We spent millions each on Woolfenden and KKH and neither has got much game time. They're not a waste of money. We're playing very well and game time is limited to those not already starting in certain positions.

Sack Brau and Bidwell off in Jan, get Sam McCallum in

Lampard is constantly complaining about squad size. There’s no way you don’t get on the pitch if you’re close to good enough.

I'm not sure whether the intent is to use him further forward or that he's just not trusted to play left back

In pre-season and in the early stages of the season it certainly looked like he'd be utilised further forward.

But if anything, LW is probably one of the thinnest areas of the pitch, so if that was the initial intent I doubt it remains that way. Otherwise surely he would've featured in the last couple of months.

So it doesn't really seem like FL trusts Brau in either role to be honest.

And I think that shows in games like Charlton recently where Bidwell came on at 88 minutes. We're 3-1 up and they've completely run out of steam, why not give Brau a handful of minutes to get under his belt?

Most of his game time has been on the left wing but while EMC and BTA are available he won't get many minutes.
How many minutes has Lati had since his recovery from injury, should we sack him off too?
