If we were to get Dibling on loan though is he guaranteed a first team start as Everton might insist on ?

Don't know if hes been mentioned before, but Liverpool's Harvey Elliott is on loan at Villa and appears to of been frozen out there. (There's an article about him on BBC sport)
If he goes back to Liverpool in Jan it might be worth trying to bring him here until the end of the season.

His loan move to Villa included a £35m option to buy, which sounds expensive, but that price may have dropped now.

Harvey Elliott: What has happened to Liverpool man at Aston Villa

Liverpool's Harvey Elliott has made just one Premier League start since moving on loan to Aston Villa in the summer - so what has gone wrong?

Your getting pathetic now. You sound about 12.
I cant be arsed with you tbh.
Your just spoiling threads for the rest of the forum.
If you've nothing positive to add, I suggest you move on.

He's already played for both Liverpool & Villa this season, he can't play for a third club in 25/26.

I see we have now made an offer for Keyan Varela.

Could be a good one for the future but surely he is too young and inexperienced to help with our promotion push.

Where has that come from? Think the Cov Telegraph article is just a rehash of the original article. Has it been confirmed somewhere else?

Possibly but these things are often very exaggerated. If it is true it's quite likely the Manneh trail isn't going anywhere

There’s no way he’d be coming into impact the first team straight away

You wouldn't think so. They do seem to be after cover though out wide but King won't drop much in January, he just told talk sport that they'll start in April discussing next year seriously.

It was on the Telegraph website this morning, quoting Swiss sources.

I may be wrong but I think the previous report just said we are interested. This one (below) says we have submitted an official offer and we are in talks.

Both said we had submit an offer.

Swiss one mentions how we are pursing a deal so he can join in January

O.K.

So it has advanced to the next stage of actual talks. I can't get too excited about this one until it becomes obvious that he is the next Ronaldo

If its just Varela and Manneh in January, it will be a bit disappointing will it not?

Nobody. But those are the only two tenable links and I was asking a question. Would you think it a statement of intent if
we only signed those two in January? Both would hardly be first team starters for us

Manneh would be a rotation option and valuable support off the bench. I think we will sign a midfielder too.

I have heard that Brau may be going back to Spain, if so, we may need another LB and a midfielder, winger and forward.

I've heard they are allowing him to find something himself, so it's up to his agent.

So potentially Brau is now added to the list with Bassette and Rodrigues already on it. I am pretty sure he was lined up to join before Frank came along so not one of his signings either

Feels like we are in a bit of an odd situation coming in to Jan.

As we need extra bodies but likely hood cant afford Prem quality and wont want to buy random players who cant make the step up if we do get promoted.

So guess we are looking to find gems

Loans with obligations to buy suit both purposes don’t they?

Said it before but we tend to track our targets for some time, below is the list of players we know, or at least we can make good guesses at from reports, that we have bid on in the past...

Charlie Hughes
Villads Neilsen
Daniel Pereira
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi

Can't see Hughes in Jan, wouldn't be overly surprised to see any of the others though. Also think Manneh sounds like it's pretty much done as does Varela actually, although that one is definitely more of a development signing,

Have we been linked with Neilsen? It’s not a name I recognise! Who is he and where does he play?

Im sure we will see a few out to make room for some to improve the squad. Brau is not a shock to be told to find a club and im sure Bassette will be another.

Yes reports were we had a bid turned down either deadline day or just before. Young CB from Bodo/Glimt, they didn't want to sell at the time but given how their seasons run it'll probably be easier to do a deal in Jan if we still fancy the player.
