I doubt there’d be many J-League players who can come in and start for top Championship from Day 1. The standard of the league isn’t that good, hence the majority of the Japanese internationals play in Europe.

Insurance against injuries is all well and good but if you want better insurance than we currently have (Eccles, Allen and the rest) then it will cost a not insignificant sum, and this season’s backups will likely be totally obsolete next season.

I’d like to think we have a marquee signing lined up.I for one wouldn’t at all be happy to start Bidwell anymore. We have seen the drop off too many times and we have moved on from him as a “solid left back” it’s not us anymore.
