I think he's about our best option, the truth being we haven't really got anyone to cover Grimes.

What are our other choices? Allen or (stop laughing at the back) Lati? Don't get me wrong, I think Allen and Lati have their places in the squad but neither of them could deputise for Grimes without a noticeable drop off in quality.

Which is why ideally we need another CM.
If it doesn't happen so be it, but I think it would be beneficial if we could.

Yeah, that's sacrilege.

I stick chocolate whenever it needs to be. Cupboard, fridge, freezer, or if it's Mars Bar Party Night, somewhere else.

He came on at half time to replace Kitchin who Robins played for 45 mins as LWB vs Luton.

Tbf I don’t think Rudoni entered his own half.

Edit: wrong match

Not like you to double down on a dumb position in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary

Catching up on those last 10 pages was a hard read.

I kept thinking it would get better and there would be an actual rumour, but nah.

I’ve been on here long enough, I should have known better!

At this stage it would be silly not to sign better players if we can. Other teams around us are getting stronger and the lack of depth due to injuries and illness coincided with us dropping off a bit, and that gap closing. We really are in a fantastic position, but there's still many games to go. There are obviously good players out there avaliable, and would make us better. Doug shouldn't spare the change to bring one or two of them in.

It is true that we should wait until the window is closed before having a meltdown though. As others have said, things often come together in the closing days. I have a feeling we'll be alright.

Nope.
The Palace manager clearly thought he was not ready so farmed him out.
Talk coming out from Palace says Esse didn't fit their system of play, so the possibility of getting their money back if we got promoted was speculated.
When Palace get a new manager all bets may be off, unless we have an agreement in place.

He's only played one game as a left sided wing back this season, which would indicate otherwise.

Everybody said we needed a midfielder who could control the middle of the park last season, as Sheaf was getting injured and recovering from injury too often. Hence, we got Grimes, even though it went against our previous policy of resale value.
At the start of this season we needed a goalie and we sorted that with a loan, which was sensible if Dovin can recover his form.
We needed CB cover and we got Wolfie. We needed left back cover and we got Brau. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, they have not achieved expectations.
Everybody pretty much agreed we needed cover for our wingers especially as Tats was looking tired. The club has addressed that with two loans and that has already paid dividends.
It appears we have a more pragmatic view to signings now. We have had a volte face regarding buying experience and getting in loans.
Even ignoring the players we have been linked with by outside influencers and agents, most fans agree we need a quality central midfielder to supplement the really good midfielders we already have, and as an insurance policy against further potential injuries or suspensions.
Now the difficult bit. I am sure we have our targets, as there is too much noise from accredited sources to think otherwise. We will not overpay, we will not put the club in jeopardy and we will not break our wage structure. Too many posters on here think getting the player you want is easy. We have a list, but if we can't get one over the line, it won't be for lack of trying.

We wanted Yang in the Summer but missed out. Lamps said that.
Think a lot of Championship teams would have been happy to take him.
Edwards has said EMC is finally fully fit which he hasn't been since he joined the club.
Wang will get minutes at the right time.
