Also if they have actually paid that to sign him just till the end of the season it's a wild waste of money.

If they wanted a goalkeeper who drops crosses they could have had Brad Collins and saved themselves some money

Signing one new midfielder who’s of questionable value in the PL next season would be a gamble of sorts. But two?!

For all the back and forth on Hamer, I think it’s pretty simple;

Would he help us get promoted this year? The answer is a resounding yes.

I didn’t like the way he left, and the embarrassing way he’s lauded when playing against us. But he’s a game changer and match winner, it’d be mental not to get him if there’s a deal to be done.

I imagine we were interested in Neil but being this close it means he’s not the profile we’re after anymore.

Right I’m seeing multiple posts of Hamer here - have legit showed any signs of signing him or is it just Dawkins stirring?

I think, like much of this thread, 220 pages of hopes and dreams, 10 pages about a 37 year old wonderkid & 2 pages of legitimate info a few hours before a signing

But its good to have hopes and dreams.

You have no idea what negotiations the club are currently having regarding transfers and are making assumptions yet again .

Let's be honest, it would have been huge to bring on ready made champ quality in Mehemeti in place of EMC or Rudoni in matches, instead we have Yang who's not trusted for a single minute in the league yet.

Mehmeti is exactly the kind of signing teams who get promoted make at this time of year.

We've made one signing of significance in Esse so King has a huge job for the last week.

Yang was brilliant in the cup game, no idea why he isn't getting minutes

Because EMC has been brilliant, Yang will get plenty of minutes before the season is over.

He might not be the ball winning CM we were looking for, but if a player of his ability becomes available and the price is right, you bite your right off for them.

The guy can win games for you single handedly and the boost and belief it would give to players and fans alike here, would be huge.

I'm not believing it WILL happen, but I think it would be fabulous if it did.

Some people never learn.

It isn't how much you spend but what you do with your budget. We kept all of our best players who were good enough and added to them. Pre season on here was mental. Teams like Norwich and Southampton were expected to be challenging at the top and many had us mid table.

This window we've strengthened. The other sides already had loans. We only had 1. Esse is a great loan signing and I would love to keep him next season if we get promoted. Again we haven't sold anyone so far we want to keep and would have to replace. This is much better than having replacements that would have to learn the way we play and hope for the best. Esse is a class player that just slotted in. Mini is like a normal signing and will take time. I would be very happy with another loan to improve our squad.
