I just googled average home attendances for Bournemouth AFC and was staggered to discover that it seems to be around only 11,500. Surely that's not correct and can't sustain a premier league team?

Look at Villarreal, (town of 50 k,) ground capacity 23k regularly play in European football , buy good players sell on for a huge profit and have made a profit each season for the last 5 seasons .

Matchday revenues only make up ~15% of the average PL club's overall. Broadcast and sponsorships are much bigger.
