Simple really it was nearly three months ago and there was a need, Oh yeah there is a need now maybe but Assante is coming back ,if Haji is off might consider it, but at the minute it's purely based on emotion for meIf people wanted us to sign Bamford I don't understand why they wouldn't want Wilson, who is and has been a much better player. I've no idea if it is feasible to sign him, but if we didn't it would be really galling if he went to another Championship club until the end of the season and tore it up.
Thats why loan moves are better at this stage, unless we sign somebody like HughesWe are in a difficult position for permanent signings though. We have to think we could get promoted so any fees have to be decided against are they premier league worth players.
They will have promotion bonuses? Not going to throw a 500k bonus at him while the rest of the squad sit and watch.

Well does Allen have rights to be pissed then if we sign someone and pay him 3x as much?Yeah but imagine you play the whole season and get a 100k bonus then someone comes in and makes 3 starts and 7 sub appearances and gets half a mil, you'd be pissed
Is this what we are up against?Yeah but imagine you play the whole season and get a 100k bonus then someone comes in and makes 3 starts and 7 sub appearances and gets half a mil, you'd be pissed
but if that person is the difference in getting you promoted or not you, will have benefited by getting 100k more than you otherwise might have done.Yeah but imagine you play the whole season and get a 100k bonus then someone comes in and makes 3 starts and 7 sub appearances and gets half a mil, you'd be pissed
The strikers could have prevented this happening by not going on long goal less runsYeah but imagine you play the whole season and get a 100k bonus then someone comes in and makes 3 starts and 7 sub appearances and gets half a mil, you'd be pissed
Should be all over this
We might be. Who knows?Should be all over this

says whom?We’ve enquired
Would love him on a permanent deal; gives me O’Hare vibes, albeit with a higher ceiling. Can’t see this one now we have signed 2 attacking players already, everyone will be in for him so can imagine he will surely choose a side where he’s going to be starting every week.
Think he’d be fantastic as well but think Doug would be trying to do a permanent rather than a loan.
To what value? They will have promotion bonuses?
How am I meant to know hahahahaTo what value?
Don't think they would....Is this what we are up against?
Possibly some getting frustrated in the squad lack of performance, sending offs etc?
Good stuff, so that’s two pending confirmation from the Club. Get them over the line and get a few more in.
Hello who has said we have enquired about Piroe?January 6, 2026 07:48
Mjällby AIF's new head coach Karl Marius Aksum gives a reassuring message to the supporters.
Abdoulie Manneh and Elliot Stroud look set to remain at the club.
At the same time, the Norwegian confirms that the squad building is not yet completely complete - another player is coming in.
Karl Marius Aksum led his first session as head coach of Mjällby AIF on Monday evening.
After the historic SM gold, there have been rumors about several of Mjällby AIF's star players.
Last week it was clear that Herman Johansson is leaving for FC Dallas and Noel Törnqvist has previously moved to Italian Como.
But both Abdoulie Manneh and Elliot Stroud, who have both been the men of rumors for a long time, are still at Strandvallen.
Mjällby's new head coach Karl Marius Aksum believes that at the moment there is nothing to indicate that the duo will leave this winter.
- As far as I know, there are no offers for them. I have had conversations with them and there is nothing to indicate that they will leave, says the Norwegian.
Abdullah Iqbal is also surrounded by transfer rumors, which Expressen has reported on, among others. Belgian Gent, Hungarian Ferencvaros and Qarabag from Azerbaijan are some of the clubs that are said to be interested in the 23-year-old.
After the loss of Herman Johansson and Noel Törnqvist, Aksum now hopes that it is sold out for this winter.
- We hope so. But we have to be able to handle if there might be another one who leaves this winter. However, it is important that there are not too many who leave. If you start selling three, four, five starting players in one window, then it will be difficult to maintain continuity.
At the same time, work is underway to complete the squad for 2026. Six new acquisitions are already in place, but Aksum is careful to tone down expectations for them – at least initially.
– I don't think we should expect Max (Nielsen) and Aki (Samuelsen) and others to become starters straight away. We have to remember that they are coming into a well-functioning team that has 22 games in a row without a loss. It may take one, two or three months before they get into it. Maybe this summer, if we sell someone, they will be ready to step in.
Elliot Stroud has been rumored abroad for a long time. Will he stay in Mjällby AIF?

However, one last piece of the puzzle is still missing to complete the squad.
– We are missing a wingback. We will have five wingbacks in the squad, so we are looking for one more. Apart from that, we believe we have a full squad, says Aksum.

According to Expressen, Mjällby has made a bid for Västerås SK wingback Max Larsson, but that signing will not happen, according to Aksum.
– I know him well but he will not come here.
Karl Marius Aksum also confirms that 18-year-old Måns Isaksson will be out of action for a long time after having shoulder surgery.
– It is difficult to say how long, the minimum is six months but it could take longer. He dislocated his shoulder last autumn in training and has had surgery before, but now he has to have a more serious operation and it is a long-term rehab, unfortunately.
Isaksson, who joined Mjällby a year ago, was missing for almost the entire golden season due to a stubborn overuse injury. There was only one appearance in the Allsvenskan in 2025 for the young midfielder.
I knew that because you know very little hahahahaHow am I meant to know hahahaha

Opinion = Rejected.
Are we getting to the crux of what is really going on here?but if that person is the difference in getting you promoted or not you, will have benefited by getting 100k more than you otherwise might have done.
I have heard similar but don’t want to get anybody’s hopes up!
he had said he would love his last season or two to be back at city, but he does have issues with people and relationships here.
also @Saddlebrains I think you’re slightly out on the basic figure, my understanding is it’s a lot lower than most of our first team are on, but very very heavily incentivised on appearances and goals… so there would be room for a deal if we were happy to pay a huge bonus on promotion, but the balance is how much influence he would have had / will have going forwards for the rest of the season as it will put others out if he comes in, does the square route of fuck all then gets a handsome pay out if we go up
