Yeah I've purposely omitted him as he didn't come straight into the squad, and therefore didn't strengthen the squad in January.

You can't compare this window to any window in the past.

I do think we'll spend a fair bit this window.

I'd be very surprised if we signed less than 3 players

We just don't have the infrastructure needed to deal properly with the transfer market. King said when he sacked Robins that a proper Director of Football was coming in yet nothing has happened. It's no coincidence that we have so much trouble getting deals over the line

Esse came off the bench for Palace today which doesn't mean the deal ain't happening but I'd say less likely if he's still being used.

No chance Esse is coming here if he came on today, unless Palace add another and that could take until end of the window.

Are you new to supporting Cov.

We bought KKH and Woolfenden for nearly £8m. We had £4m offer for Rushworth declined, and multiple offers of up to £10m for Hughes.

A few years ago spending a few hundred thousand was our norm !

Some fans are very entitled ….

We should have brought that offer for Hughes on today.

No surprises there. They have injuries , a small squad and AFCON. The one thing in our favour speaking to a Palace ST holder mate of mine is that Glasner doesn't see him fitting in their system. Today's sub appearance will have no impact on the decision of whether he comes here or not

He came on today in the 87th minute at 2-0 down, it’s not like he was trusted to change the game for Palace.

He did come on 88th minute mind so didn't play a massive part. Time will tell as he is the type of player we need with raw pace and skill to upset defences. Having said that should we be looking at bolstering our defence because it's been a shambles recently.

Doug is director of football alongside Austin if removes a layer of decision making between him and Frank
The issue is that Doug had or possibly has no history in football
I can’t knock his decision making so far but it does worry me

I don't even think Manneh is an option now there's been no updates for a while now but who knows.
We'll probably end up with Abada and Rak-Sakyi the 2 who would be last on my choice.

Let's hope he makes the right decision. Stoke are the only other side that were in for him as far as I'm aware.

These load of games have been a real wake up call in terms of not having the depth a quality to sustain an auto spot in my opinion.

To have any chance we need the following:

LB to compete with JDS. Bidwell is finsihed it seems and Brau is just not it.

CB that’s experienced and a leader who can Marshall the back line. I don’t think Thomas and Kitch are going to sustain us.

CM a high energy player who can go box to box and support Grimes

AM/10 is needed for creativity and that killer pass to the strikers. We don’t have one. Rudoni is not with it at all.

LW and RW to compete and cover with EMC and Tats. In fact I think we need someone better than Tatsu now.

ST we need a striker that is clinical, mobile and pacy. We needed another one when Bassette left.

7 players in.

Move out:

Bidwell (perm)
Brau loan
Perry loan
Andrews loan

Do I think we will get 7? Nope but it should have been addressed in summer so we didn’t end up in this situation.

Was thinking earlier today about Rudoni.
If he had made a move to the prem last summer, and then when he got his chance turned out performances like he has for us the last few weeks, he’d never be seen in that league again.

He has credit in the bank here so we’re more willing to wait for him to (hopefully) ride it out.

There’s something there about not jumping ship at the earliest opportunity and fair play for him to supposedly stating he wanted to stay and work for Lampard. Really hope we get the Rudoni we know back soon

We definitely don't need 7 players.

That would give us a very bloated squad of about 26!

You can't be leaving 6 first team players out the match day squad every week.

Top by 6 points but need 7 new players?!

Best case is 4: LW, RW, 10, 6/8
Minimum is: 10 and LW or RW

Yeah you don’t need both LB and RB is KKH can cover whereas you do want both LW and RW.

You aren’t finding strikers or CBs better than what we’ve got in our budget.
