Been back in stock for a few days nowAfter seeing one at an early match I B decided I wanted an adult home goalkeeper’s shirt. I was prepared to pay the full price because I like it so much but there’s no indication when they will be back in stock. It’s got to the stage now where I’ll probably wait and see if they come back in and wait for a reduction or offer. That ‘love it got to have it’ moment has passed so the club has probably missed x1 full price sale
They aren’t in stock though? It clearly says ‘Please note that all outstanding pre-order purchases will be prioritised as soon as stock becomes available.’ I take that to read a) not in stock to despatch immediately and b) my order will be fulfilled (and quite right too) after people - unknown number- who have already ordered one and are waiting for it.Been back in stock for a few days now

Has to all be an issue with the company that have the UK licence. Can't imagine Doug personally going to Denmark for meetings with Hummel to discuss what colour the third keeper kit will be next season. Someone would've gotten the boot by now if the issues were caused on our side
I really should scroll down a bit before reacting.Quality control really not great this year. This is already my second shirt View attachment 46185
Delays - obviously sponsorship - no sleeve/short sponsor - XL motors suddenly appearing. The issues have definitely been caused on our side for the last 3 seasons. Name me another Hummel supplied club that have the same issues with late release, stock levels, or quality?
Yeah I would think they are stocking up on pro away as they didn’t think they’d sell out of the home pro as quickly as they did, and now getting more in is taking ages.Delays - obviously sponsorship - no sleeve/short sponsor - XL motors suddenly appearing.
Stock - overhead in club shop yesterday - they didn't expect to sell as much away kit as they have.
(Guessing they therefore put their eggs in the training/travel gear basket - but looks like the f**ked that up as they have just too much - not a lot of which looks like it is selling!)
Quality - difficult one. I've had hundreds of Hummel items between me/kids. Only ever had one issue.
The more print there is - more chance of it coming off - look after it and generally it should be ok.
Late release can probably chalk up to us sorting sponsorship, stock levels and quality issues though there seems to be more of an issue this year. Stock levels and quality won't be down to us. Maybe stock levels, but someone would've definitely been sacked if they put in a paltry order for launch. Most other aspects of the club have seen improvements except this is same old. Have to assume King's got on to the merchandising team to sort the issues we've had last few seasons so by absolute guesswork, seems Sportspro(?) can't quite keep up. His meeting with Hummel had to be in regards to that surely? The issues have definitely been caused on our side for the last 3 seasons. Does feel like this is where a lot of the issues come from. Low temp, inside out, air dry and they're fine. Seen some shirt collectors not even put them in the machine, they stick a load in the bath in cold water for an age. Can't be bothered with that personallyBut we’ve recently gone to washing inside out and not tumble drying football shirts and that has helped massively.
Another lazy template design but with different colours
End is nigh with Hummel I feel
Got the pro home shirt for running and the quality is awful. There are loads of loose threads hanging off it all over the place.
Wait, that means that in 2016 you felt the standard of kits on offer were better than this season's?Absolutely agree.
No imagination, bland and not even a bit of skyblue trim.
First time in 30 years that I won’t be buying a city shirt of any description.

My retro anthem jacket from last year is the same. Love the design, but the quality is shocking, especially considering its not cheap to buyGot the pro home shirt for running and the quality is awful. There are loads of loose threads hanging off it all over the place.
Time to move on from Hummel I think. When is the contract up?
Maybe they need a loan out to L1 or L2, let them get some proper match fitness back.Time to move on from Hummel I think. When is the contract up?

Better at our level than Adidas too. Plenty of good brands out there though - Kappa, Macron & O'Neills would be my picks. Joma & Jako do some nice stuff too but can be a bit hit & miss.Think I read that Doug King was over at the Hummel HQ recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if we extend the current contract with them.
They're certainly better than Nike, Puma and Castore, but I wouldn't mind seeing what a new manufacturer could come up with for us
Yeah-Castore is another.Better at our level than Adidas too. Plenty of good brands out there though - Kappa, Macron & O'Neills would be my picks. Joma & Jako do some nice stuff too but can be a bit hit & miss.
Castore are awful, even worse than Hummel for quality.Yeah-Castore is another.
Umbro are just Castore in disguise. They've licenced the name.Umbro could be decent to partner up with then again Im not sure what their kits are like nowadays
I read a comment the other day from a Blackburn fan (or possibly some other team supplied by Macron) that they have their quality issues as well, but the main issue is sizing. Once you get past size L, they don't get any wider, just longer.Better at our level than Adidas too. Plenty of good brands out there though - Kappa, Macron & O'Neills would be my picks. They do get wider but quite a bit longer too. I often have to go up a couple of sizes in Macron, they can sometimes end up looking a bit like a dress on my 5' 10" body.I read a comment the other day from a Blackburn fan (or possibly some other team supplied by Macron) that they have their quality issues as well, but the main issue is sizing. Mizuno is a good shout. They're doing some really good stuff.Yeah Kappa would be my realistic choice, and Mizuno probably my unrealistic one.
Really like the kits Joma have done for Swansea this year, but as you say, they also drop the ball on others
