I agree the world Cup shouldn't be in Qatar, but rejigging the whole league program around it is only what lots of non European countries have to do when the tournament is over here.

Yeah though all around the world a lot of domestic seasons are August ish to May. Even despite that, many teams that actually qualify will have players that are European based anyway.
The whole thing is corrupt as fuck, allowing these dreadful regimes to show off.
