We let 3rd and 4th choice strikers go and had to replace them but lost two of our first choice back five and they don’t need replacing.

Make it make sense.

For fuck sake did I say we didn’t need to address the defence? Both areas need improvement. We have improved the forward areas and are now looking to improve the defence. You are clueless

We didn't score nearly enough last season, it's a bigger issue than our defensive record

Granted we did struggle at times last season in front of goal but it wasn't a bigger issue.

We scored more goals over the course of the season than 8 other teams in the division and the same number as two teams.

However, there were only 3 teams that leaked more goals than us in the league last season.

Charming. And as I said we’ve spent the entire budget. Glad you agree we prioritised the forwards over the defence.

If you only want to read opinions that align with the managers can I suggest you log off SBT and only read interviews on the offal?

Again, very extreme.

I like all the opinions but calling for Mark Robins to be shot if he signed another forward-minded player? silly talk

I’m sure Robins has a better idea about the budget and what’s left than we do. He has already said he’s looking to bolster the defence. You’re such a drama queen

He thinks signing English players from Chelsea is the same as signing players from abroad, his opinions about the game should be taken with a pinch of salt

So no more signings at all then if the budget is all gone?

It was a big issue, our figures are greatly inflated by the run in and last game

Debatable- the farcical display of Millwall on the final day with nothing to play for was 6 of those goals, aside from that we scored one more than Wednesday who came bottom and less than Rotherham in 23rd.

True. But you can't remove goals just to suit your arguement.

Even if you took away the result against Millwall, we still fared better than 6 teams in the division.

Much of our issues up front were also largely down to injuries or illness, not quality.

Let’s be honest. We all watched the majority of matches last season where we couldn’t see where the next goal was coming from !!.

Therefore MR is right to strengthen heavily in attack so that injuries don’t cause the same issues next season

No more than we knew we were going to concede.

I'm not saying it wasn't an obvious issue in need of addressing but it certainly wasn't our biggest issue.

With loans. Because we’ve spent the budget. My god you’re slow.

Tell you what, if the window closes and we’ve spent as much in likely wages and fees on permanent defenders as we have on Bright, Waghorn and Györkeres I’ll change my avatar to whatever you like for the season. If not you can apologise for the insults.

Because we had to have ten men behind the ball so our defence wasn’t ripped apart.

We had to put up with so many games last season of Max and O'Hare missing chance after chance, and now people are moaning about us signing too many forwards LOL

You bring the insults upon yourself with the dumb shit you post. Our defence last season was bolstered by McCallum and Ostigard, both loans.

It’s like people don’t think the manager can see where he needs to strengthen or knows how to operate within a tight budget.

Yes and it wasn’t good enough. My entire point is we should’ve spent the budget on the defence.

Take the massively one sided bet or STFU.

It clearly was good enough, we finished 16th.

To clarify- you are saying that all the money should have gone on defenders?

TIL Godden, Walker, and O’Hare don’t exist.

Every days a school day.

We currently can’t put out a back three without using kids and trialists but sure we don’t need any CBs.

Baka didn’t start a single game last season.

Again, I didn’t say we don’t need defenders. You’re not some sort of footballing genius to see the defence needs addressing, which Robins will address next. Your stupidity is exhausting

Rose and Hyam who haven’t played a game preseason and Fadz who gives away penalties galore LOL

We can all play this game.

Do you think we’ll spend as much on the defence as we have on the attack? Because if not you’re agreeing with my original post.

The only reason we are having to field trialists and kids is because Covid has ravaged the squad. I admire him doubling down though, takes a lot of guts to constantly look thick

Two players out = “ravaged”

Come on, you’re so confident I’m stupid take the bet. All you’ll have to do is apologise if you’re wrong.
