Saints 'new' kit.

would Love a Cov version of this but it seems a bit too soon after the league 1 champions kits

Got a feeling this season's kit launch will be a late one. Wasn't many weeks ago we were touting around for sponsors, was it?

Denmark also got the proper retro treatment for their away

Not a fan of the Southampton kit, Denmark's looks much nicer... but we had a remake of this in League 1, so I would be disappointed if we had that again

A job as a designer at Hummel must be a doddle get somebody to get pictures of the old kits and then copy it, a lot of the concept kits that people do show far more imagination

Yeah, I do like the Hummel kits but they haven’t come up with a single original design for us yet outside of the 3rd kids.

They did with this one, although they did sneak in a little retro 90s thing on the sleeves while doing it

True I guess but even this is heavily based on the kit from the 60s that we remade in the Champ relegation season.

Unless we have somehow ‘opted out’ of the Hummel 100 years anniversary 80s kit designs they’re doing this year, then that will essentially be our home kit, but perhaps with CBS as the sponsor. Have to say I’m pretty pleased myself about it if it is.

bear in mind it’s also our 140th year so bound to be something about that.

also interesting to note is the Southampton gk kit has design pointing to their big church/cathedral so maybe another bespoke gk kit.

Hummel's 2019/2020 League 1 home shirt was a thing of beauty, as was the Two Tone black and white kit from the same season. The 2020/2021 Home shirt grew on me. Last season's home shirt was good, but not continuing the tramlines onto the shorts was a big mistake.
Didn't like the purple kit (although I know I am in the minority) and the pink and blue squares from 21/22 was a lazy rehash of the 20/21 red and black squared kit which was shite anyway.
I really think they could come up with a decent twist on the Chocolate Away kit,
As for the home kit - always liked this one

The Hummel Chevrons in the white band of those shorts would work nicely

The blue is too dark. Would love us to have 87-89 kit done properly though like Southampton and Denmark.

What is the deal with the sponsor situation? I half thought BoyleSport were off because the league is phasing out betting sponsorship. But seeing as Southamptons sponsor is one can't be the case. Was really hoping for something other than betting but I guess they probably pay the most.

Probably because Southampton haven't got a new sponsor yet.

Coventry Building society will be our new sponsor for next season.

Just found this:

Gambling sponsorship will be axed at the end of the 2025/26 season, the league said in a statement. Until then existing - and new - shirt-front gambling sponsorship contracts will be allowed. Clubs will continue to be able to feature gambling brands in other areas, including shirt-sleeves and LED advertising.

So the new sponsor could be another betting company.

Southampton are selling two different versions of their new kit in adult size, one with the betting sponsor and another with a Starling bank logo that looks to have been put on with wallpaper paste

SAINTS ADULT 23/24 STARLING HOME SHIRT

Created in partnership with Hummel, which is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this season, the shirt is a remake of the iconic 1987-89 jersey worn by Matt Le Tissier, Alan Shearer, Franny Benali, and Wallace brothers Danny, Rod and Ray.

This classic shirt has a slight twist as each...

I really wish that you had an option to not have the sponsor, the BoyleSport ruined a load of great kits.

Once Hummel forced Allsopp & Allsopp to change their shocking logo that looked really smart on the League 1 champions shirts

Didn’t King say we wouldn’t have them from next season? He ruled out having another betting company too.

He did while the league itself signed a new multi year deal with Sky Bet

Probably on my own here, but think I actually prefer them with the sponsor. Not Boylesports obviously, that's shite, but something in the middle, feel a bit bare otherwise

I'm with you on this one, but I know more will probably disagree.

While we're getting rid of things, can the XL Motors badge do one? Who wants a big red boil on their arse? It's a fucking abomination on the two-tone kit.

In general, I've liked the Hummel retro kits. And if it were left to me, this new season should be a repeat of last years but with the tramlines continuing down the shorts, like the 70s kit. Then to mock other clubs, we could have the 3rd kit be the infamous brown one
