Ipswich will win the leagueWe are the only side who are still above that margin of 2 points per game average. it seems like a very strange season in terms of how the league does not seem like it’s settling - it’s quite exciting though - the 2 points per game is a pre requisite to enter the we are going up club - who else will join us ?
Nah we'll win it.Ipswich will win the league
I think we will be second.
We play Ipswich twice in December so we’ll really find out who’s top dog by New Year.I was worried about Ipswich starting to motor. But we've won 8 of the last 9. They've won 6 drawn 1. So even though their form is good, ours is still much better.
Head says they'll win the league. Heart says we will. For once, I'm hoping emotion beats logic. We play Ipswich twice in December so we’ll really find out who’s top dog by New Year.
Well they’ve got 11 points to make up on us, 5 even if they beat us twice next month. Always better to have the points in the bag.Head says they'll win the league. Heart says we will. For once, I'm hoping emotion beats logic.
They've also got a game in hand (due to the Blackburn fiasco) Not particularly bothered, as I'd sooner be in our position, than having their potential. If we can navigate our way to the January window and still be thereabouts (which still allows for 2 or 3 defeats imo) then, disastrous injuries aside, we should be in a great position. I'm not convinced any other side (bar Ipswich) can replicate the form needed to overtake us.Well they’ve got 11 points to make up on us, 5 even if they beat us twice next month. More like 2points because they have a game in hand.Well they’ve got 11 points to make up on us, 5 even if they beat us twice next month. Always better to have the points in the bag.
They have to get the points is all I’m saying.More like 2points because they have a game in hand.
December is a huge month for us because there’s a lot of difficult fixtures.
For sure, Ipswich have to do the hard work of beating us twice, their game in hand and match our results. They have to get the points is all I’m saying.
That's worst case scenario and assuming they beat us twice, and a resurgent Blackburn away who, although losing their last game have recently beaten Bristol, Leicester, and SouthamptonMore like 2points because they have a game in hand.

Not even because we’re in competition with Ipswich, I hope Blackburn get justice for their postponed game. That's worst case scenario and assuming they beat us twice, and a resurgent Blackburn away who, although losing their last game have recently beaten Bristol, Leicester, and Southampton
Ipswich will certainly up there. The reason I think Ipswich will win the league is simply squad depth and the quality of their players.
We have in my opinion the best 11-13 players and the togetherness and will to fight for each other gives us an extra 10%.
Squad depth is something that we don’t have against the likes of an Ipswich unless we spend some serious money in January (and even that’s not a given that will work)

Need to be careful not to rock the apple cartGood points but we can mitigate this by having a strong Jan window. If ever a Jan window needs to be backed to add quality to the squad it will be this one. 3/4 decent ones and it’s going to be a fun watch till the end of the season.

They probably need to beat us twice just to close the gap. There are lots of examples of teams doing the double but finishing below that team (Derby last season?).We play Ipswich twice in December so we’ll really find out who’s top dog by New Year.
Our fixtures from here until the Jan 4th is a gauntlet, particularly our away fixtures where we play teams that are very strong at home. They probably need to beat us twice just to close the gap. There are lots of examples of teams doing the double but finishing below that team (Derby last season?).

Yes that would be amazing, though a draw away and a home win would be significant too.Imagine if we beat them twice!!

If our target is two points per game then we need 16 points from those 11 to stay on track, with possibly easier games to come after. 5 wins and a draw would seem to be achievable. Would we really be expecting 5 defeats though? Our fixtures from here until the Jan 4th is a gauntlet, particularly our away fixtures where we play teams that are very strong at home.
WBA (H) - 15th in away form
Boro (A) - 4th in home form (unbeaten)
Charlton (H) - 13th in away form
Ipswich (A) - 6th in home form
PNE (A) - 3rd in home form
Bristol City (H) - 3rd in away form
Southampton (A) - 16th in home form
Swansea (H) - 17th in away form
Ipswich (H) - 16th in away form
Charlton (A) - 8th in home form
Birmingham (A) - 7th in home form
We're top for both categories so we should be going into each fixture confident of picking up a point at least, but a quick look at the table shows that our home games are 'easier' and we need to be winning 3 of them at least.

We have Woolfy who will give us the inside take,a bit like Sheaf at Wrexham!!Or, we'll let them win both of those and lull them into a false sense of security
Not sure Sheaf is the one who took half a team outWe have Woolfy who will give us the inside take,a bit like Sheaf at Wrexham!!

Quite possibly, or Sheaf left all his water bottles behind spiked with whatever the hell he drinks to get out of playingMaybe with no Sheaf the physios feared for their job and started nobbling players?
