People haven't been able to get through on the phone or ticketing web-site. It seems the only way to buy a ticket has been to queue up at Gallagher Retail Store - where at times only 1 person was on the desk dealing with both season ticket renewals and general sales. Because of time constraints when I went over on Tuesday, I had to make a second visit on Wednesday! I shan't be doing that again as it's over an hour round trip for me plus queuing time, the club need to sort the logistics if they want to benefit from the current goodwill of fans.

I've bought 2 tickets online with no problems at all. Using Internet Explorer as well.

People want to go I think but or 2 or 3 reasons they don't want to or can't.

Price is certainly a factor. £10 to £22-24 is over double.

2 games back to back weekends isn't the easiest for many with families and work commitments.

Yeovil town isn't a big draw for a lot of fans I'm afraid.

Tickets are obviously hard to get. Queuing in the shop is a joke. ST are proving difficult with tickets then you get your booklet. Online is hit or miss for some though chrome works just fine.

Stands keep changing to what is open and what is not. Why?

I still think the gate will be 10k+ But the club have seriously messed up here behind the scenes. Front line staff are working as hard as they can but with all of the above it's very hard.

I predict a crowd of 13,500 for this game, on the basis that of the 7 of us at Gillingham only 3 of us will be at this game. Varied reasons for the others not being there.

I reckon there would be less than 20 if it was a tenner.

I didn't go to Gillingham but I know at least 5 people who were panicking for a ticket and gloating when they got one that won't go again this season. Not a big surprise.

Surely that's 2,500 over and above the season ticket contingent of say 4,000. Even still that is a pathetic crowd at this stage!

On one hand, it really riles me with the bandwagoners who all pretend to be city fans for special one off occasions such as last Friday, Crewe, arsenal away etc. half of these fuckers posting selfies on Facebook won't set foot in the stadium again this season unless we need a win for the play offs or get through to the JPT area final again when they'll all be scrambling around for a ticket to get to Wembley!

On the other hand, the availability and accessibility of ticketing is a disgrace. Yes they have had the initial rush and fair play to them for selling out the ground for gillingham but why, 3 weeks later are people still struggling to get through? Why are season tickets not yet issued? Why should we have to go to them to collect? Someone higher up the line needs shooting because it is now beyond embarrassing, even more so taking into account the figures stayed by Grendel above.

They initially told me I couldn't sit in the north stand, so moved to the south stand. I was then told that I couldn't sit there so moved to block 17 in the easy stand. They now tell me my seat in the north stand is available and sent me a receipt transferring back tou original position. Had a missed call on Monday but haven't been able to get through to confirm ever since!

Reduced ticket prices would've seen the gates rise dramatically despite the hoo-hah to get a ticket. Back to nothek tomorrow then...i thought the wave of enthusiasm would least for a few games at least!! Saying that, I'll gladly wait in the beer queue for 2 minutes as opposed to the 20 last weekend now that the once a season brigade aren't in attendance!

Totally agree with all your sentiments..

We used to sit in the CET Stand and then, when we were told we couldn't sit there, we moved to the Main Stand. We have heard nothing more about asking whether we want to move back or stay where we are (nor what is happening to our padded seats) and no signs of any tickets for the Yeovil game yet. Went up to the Gallagher Store the other day and waited in the queue but only 2 people serving and it hardly moved so gave up. Been trying the telephone numbers but no answer.

So waiting anxiously for the post this morning, otherwise another long wait in the queue.

Also managed to book tickets online for Scunthorpe on Tuesday,(easy peasy transaction though), but also waiting for these tickets to be delivered now.

It's about time this was all sorted out.

Anyway, looking forward to our first Saturday match back at the Ricoh. PUSB.

Its just not true though is it. Goes from predicted 20k, to already sold 15k , to already sold 12k.... now only 2.5k? .... bit of a funny drop off that. Dont believe it for a second. Even just by the numbers of people in queues they have seen thats over 2500.

No one has said 15,000 sold. Including away fans season ticket and corporate the figure will be around 9,000

Yep, tried that.

I twiddled my thumbs, watched paint dry and the grass grow and watched raindrops race done my window pane.

Gave it all up though to come back to the City!

I never said it wasn't. I'm just saying the price has doubled from 10 to 22-24. That's a fact. Whether or not it's 22-24 normally. That's not I said.

£22-24 is a lot to watch yeovil town who will bring how many? 400?

Surely home fans are paying to watch Coventry City?

you have to also take into consideration 1000 tickets were given to the chairty event who were supposed to be playing a game at the ricoh tomo, so the attendence will be boosted by that also

(kind of going away from the price and walk up debate)

Again Nick, I appreciate it is £22-24 normally but to a lot of people £10 seems a bargain which it is and the home coming to a week later it's over double that and bak to normal. You have to accept a drop off.

Also opposition matters as who will bring more fans yeovil or Preston? Not just that but who would our fans want to see? A top 8 clash between us and preston or us and yeovil? Both points are relevant IMO.

Changing stands doesn't exactly mean people can't go but it isn't helpful either. Maybe takes up more seats and makes some fans let it go for this game and back for preston in 2 weeks time.

Online seems ok. That's how I bought my tickets in 2 minutes so no problems. Phone and shop seems to be silly although I'm only going on other posters. I've not been in there myself.

I definitely agree. I just think many at gillingham weren't major ccfc like us all on here. They will look at price or the gillingham special offer.

It has always been the case who you play brings in more supporters than normal. I'm sorry but this has always been the case. You will always get a few more thousand fans if you play Birmingham city or yeovil town.

Went to Peterborough last season paid £24.00 and was put into a shit stand where you could not sit cos your knees caught up on the seat in front, bird shit all over the seats, shite view cos a bleedin pillar obstructing the view. So now i go up to the Ricoh in a nice comfortable stadium and i pay for that privaledge.

I agree that the levels of excitement can vary on who the opposition is, but at the end of the day I just want to go and see the City play and hopefully win.

Don't think I have ever looked at a game and gone 'Oh, it's only Burton, I won't bother.' If City are playing at home I want to be there.

In fact, when we play the 'smaller' teams I am quite often more excited, as I think we should have a better chance of winning those games and that's what I want to see, City winning.

7 years of SISU, 7 years of demise, 3 years in League 1, 18 months fucking around in Northampton, still another court case hanging over our heads, SISU's incompetence pervading everywhere still, Fisher still talking about his La La stadium, the ticketing arrangements a shambles...............Is anyone that surprised ? Fridays fantastic turnout was a protest in it's own form as much as anything. The 85% of the support who shunned Sixfields still want rid of the hedge fund scum, there is very little trust.
All that said, as long as they make provision for tickets to be sold on the day and there are a few cash turnstiles, I'm sure the gate will be 10-12,000. I'm going to stomach the £24 this time, I hope it's good value !
