Ticket manager on radio now.So it was 7,000, then it was 6,500 and now it's 2,500.
That's an awful lot of people changing their minds and asking for refunds.
It's time for the club to drop the match day increase for this game only, or we could have a seriously embarrassing crowd tomorrow.
With some 'die hard City fans' though, you could give away free tickets and they'd still have excuses why they can't go.
Add a free pie and they'd come running back.

People haven't been able to get through on the phone or ticketing web-site. It seems the only way to buy a ticket has been to queue up at Gallagher Retail Store - where at times only 1 person was on the desk dealing with both season ticket renewals and general sales. Because of time constraints when I went over on Tuesday, I had to make a second visit on Wednesday! I shan't be doing that again as it's over an hour round trip for me plus queuing time, the club need to sort the logistics if they want to benefit from the current goodwill of fans.
A Liverpool spokesman was on the radio talking about their sale of £50k's worth of Balotelli shirts in 24 hours. He said more than anything it was due to anticipating the demand and having systems in place to cope with it. He said when opportunities arise you have to capitalise on them, which is something we certainly haven't done. We have seriously cocked up ticket sales in the last two weeks, and even with minimal sales for Yeovil people are still turning up at the shop and facing queues. Buying tickets should be easy and coupled with paying £2 more on match day you can see why the occassional supporter won't be bothered.
Unfortunately alot of fans will now have moved on from CCFC. My facebook was covered in people who support other clubs up at the Ricoh on Friday. They aren't going to go back up.
I guess that's 2500 plus season tickets?
Rubbish, people still managed to buy / sell 30000 tickets for the Gillingham game. The problem is that the demand isn't there.

Where are all the thoushands of weeping fans who were denied a ticket for the first game. Surely those hard done by souls are all going to attend this game!

Not true at all. You can log on and buy tickets without a problem at all. I chose to collect mine from the store and when I did there were about 5 people in the queue. Unfortunately (or fortunately) it's just a case of the fair weather 'fans' not bothering due to price or whatever else!
Alarming and staggering - hoping for a "bit" of a walk up on the day.
